Best windbreaker and all-around jacket

I love the brightness of the color options of these jackets so I bought one and soon after my husband was gifted one from his work and we wore them so much my teenage daughter was dying for one so she got one for her birthday and we take them on every trip and wear them regularly because they are so versatile and great for layering and pack up so small they are seriously awesome and I get compliments on the colors all of the time!

Worth the money! I love it!!!

I love how it's a sustainable product, so it will not give me the guilt of fast fashion. Also, I love how amazingly soft and lightweight the jacket is. It helped me pack light and because it's reversible, I no longer have to worry about my outfit for my adventure pictures :) I'll definitely buy again, and the company has great customer service! I am now a loyal customer.

Perfect for packing

I bought this shortly before a trip to Iceland. I wanted another windbreaker, but didn’t want to fill too much space in my backpack. This worked out perfect, and I ended up using it almost daily while there. Lots of compliments on it too from others that had never heard of Cotopaxi.

Love it!

I love everything about this windbreaker. The only reason I didn't give 5 stars is because the "Gear for Good" along the side started peeling after the flurry first use. Maybe some better adhesive for the wording. Otherwise, great product!!

Not unisex

I really like the colors and weight of this jacket. It is nice to pop over another fleece to reduce wind when I'm biking, and it takes very little storage space. However, this item should not be called unisex. It is definitely made for men, and I would appreciate a women's-specific item instead of pretending this one will fit women. The sleeves are several inches too long, the chest does not properly accommodate a bust, and the bottom hem leaves no room for women's hips. It is very tight on the bottom hem, and I usually tug it down a lot because it wants to ride up over my hips to a smaller space. I wish I could love it, but this jacket is not unisex.

Rad Jacket thing, bad sizing

I love this half-zip. Love the idea, love the colors. Just remember that if you are ordering XL, it was clearly designed for Franz, their bodybuilder male model with a perfect V-shape. If you have a belly (which let’s be honest you’re ordering xl so you probably do), this will be super tight around the bottom. So then you think: “shoooooot man, I’ll just order the xxl to give me some space around my tummy junk” nope, the shoulders on that thing are going to look like a pumpkin costume on you. Why? Because you are not xxl anywhere else but your belly. It’s hard to be the fat man in the Teca, and it’s hard to look at the fat man in the Teca. Everyone loses.

Great windbreaker, not-so-great rain hoodie

I love the colors and the fit (5’9 165-170, athletic build men’s small/women’s medium). I bought it so that it fits a bit snugger because I’m only wearing a t-shirt or long sleeve running type shirt. It does an excellent job at blocking the wind, but I’ve worn it a few times when it has been raining fairly solid (Texas autumn) and the water seeps right through. This isn’t unexpected/problematic as it doesn’t claim to be waterproof. It does dry rather quickly when hung up, too. Otherwise, I’ve had plenty of compliments on it, and will probably buy another in the future. Another excellent product from an awesome company.

Great for Running in cold weather

I use this jacket exclusively for running in cold weather as a shell. However, I've been able to shed a thick layer underneath and run with just a couple of t shirts and this windbreaker and it keeps the warmth in. So far, this set up has been good down to 20 degrees (granted, I am running at a decent pace), and I return with a warm core. I like its bright colors which keep me visible in winter evenings. The only negative is that the material is super see through -- you can clearly see what I'm wearing underneath. This isn't inherently bad, but it is a factor. Also, it is not water proof. Otherwise, I like it.

Love these

Cotopaxi is a hot topic in my household because I'm known to wear them to sleep and not everyone (aka. hubbie) is on-board with that. I've been eyeing these beautifully bright colored and re-purposed windbreakers for a while now and just received them in the mail and it is love at "first wear" just like the Tikal and Pacaya. Light, soft, super comfortable and yet stands up to the chilly winds of the bay area during beginning of spring. I absolutely adore the bright colors - they are noticeable and unique! I wore them to work for the first time today and got so many compliments. Can't wait to order more colors!

Irresistible design - limited functionality

Based on the product information on the website I expected the jacket to be more breathable. When I do a 20 minutes bicycle ride it is WET on the inside and does not dry until I take it off and turn it inside out. That is really disappointing. (I am a little confused about other users' reviews saying they run for hours in this jacket and feel ok...) Haven't tested it in rain, so I can't say anything about "permanent water resistance". Definitely too expensive for the functionality. Still, the design an colours are irresistible and I am really having a hard time deciding if I keep it just for that reason...
