I initially ordered the Wild Rye Freel shorts. After reading reviews on sizing, I had ordered the next size up from my normal size. BIG mistake, as the shorts were way too big. After further research, I found the Kaweah’s, which have a slimmer cut. I ordered my usual size 4 and they fit & feel absolutely perfect! Love the fun retro design. Nicely stitched with a handy zipper side pocket. Ideal length. The material feels durable with a little weight. We’ll see how they fair when Las Vegas temps top out in the upper 100’s! On sale, added bonus. I foresee these being not only awesome bike shorts but also for dog walks and a pair of go-tos!
I enjoy the pattern and fabric of these shorts. What I didn't enjoy as much was the cut as an athletic, wider hipped woman. I typically buy a 6-8 in my pants/shorts and I had to size up to a 10 in these. Part of this was due to having chamois shorts under them, however that felt excessive. I did buy these shorts on sale, but I am not sure I would pay full price for them. After purchasing these online, I did go back into my local store to try on other pairs from Wild Rye and there sizing at least was consistent across the board in other styles. Overall, a very nice brand with some fun fashion!
I think they are great! Love the Color and seem comfortable
