Took this chair on a backpacking trip on the Foothills Trail. It was definitely nice to have something to sit on other than the ground after a long day on your feet...Surprised on how comfortable it was and I used it as an extra support to my sleeping pad. The chair is lightweight but would recommend it more for car camping/venue etc. esp. If your backpacking more than 3 days the extra weight adds up over time.
I chose this chair for my first backpacking trip because I don't like to sit in regular chairs. I like to move around a lot and sit cross legged. This chair allows for several different ways of sitting, from legs stretched out to knees up and rocking back and forth a little. It's also great to kneel on in front of my tent while packing and unpacking.
This chair accompanied me on river trips, bike packing, hiking and hunting trips. I feel it has all the great lightweight comfort of the Original crazy Creek with a very convenient strap to allow you to roll it up. While I don't feel like I need a chair in the backcountry when I am packing light and small, this chair fits the bill. My favorite use for this chair was to roll the chair around my bike frame and use it around town at concerts and other venues.
If you’re looking for a lightweight, easy to carry chair for your traveling adventures, look no further. This chair comes with two side straps that unclasp to enable you to roll up the chair so it takes up little space. When the straps are connected you can adjust the length, allowing the user to sit upright or recline. When leaning back, your legs do get squeezed a little on the sides and the design of the back support presses into the lats somewhat. The seat material is dense but lightweight, providing a sturdy and comfortable surface to sit on. Overall, the Crazy Creek Hex 2.0 Original Chair is a handy chair for your traveling adventures.
This is a nice upgrade to my 20+ year old Crazy Creek chair. It's lighter weight and more comfy with the new Hex pattern and material, but still designed to last a lifetime. My favorite use for this chair is outdoor concerts. My only wish is that a future design would incorporate some sort of over the shoulder carrying strap. Until then, I stick it in a bag with my water bottle and other necessities for easy transport. This chair also provides much appreciated back and seat support when sitting on hard stadium seats or on the tailgate of a truck. I wouldn't take it backpacking, as it's heavier than my camp chair with legs, but it's great to have for car camping and going to the park or amphitheater.
I got my first crazy creek in the early 90s and loved it for everything then. This new one is even better. It is lighter and just as comfortable. These chairs are the best for camping, backpacking, or even the backyard. They are so easy.
I was in need of something to take outside of the house to keep me upright while nursing. This chair fits the bill perfectly. It rolls up easily enough to throw on top of the diaper bag. It’s perfect for leaning back. Can be used as easily sitting on a bed as sitting outside. I am 5’4 and the back of the chair falls right below or at my shoulder blades. For the price, I think the clip holding it rolled up could be sturdier. Also, the loop that I think is meant to clip the rolled up mat onto a backpack broke the first time I used the loop. Otherwise, this product is awesome.
I was given the recommendation to get a lightweight camp chair for my first ever overnight backpacking hike. I looked at this chair and also ones that have poles to assemble, etc. I went with this one due to the fact you can put it under your sleep mat for extra cushioning, which is exactly what I ended up doing! And in doing so, I was the only one in our group with a dry camp chair in the morning. The chair is pretty comfy, I found myself changing angles and kind of rocking on it to switch things up, and I like that you can sit with your legs crossed. It rolls up pretty small. Very impressed.
I got this as a gift and didn't expect to use it much. It's been on the summit of 14ers, extended a short sleeping pad 5 days into the wilderness, tops of sand dunes, in the ocean, on kayaks, for meals. I never regret bringing it but usually regret not bringing it. It fits a variety of people, through a 6'1" weightlifter (size XL in clothes). I love lounging with it, so luxurious in the middle of nowhere. Price is steep imo, but it is very high quality. Mine has no signs of wear after 8 years.
This product is awesome and worked very well for my roof rack 💪🏽💪🏽 I’ve been searching for a seat that I can easily put on the roof rack for reading, watching the sunset, ect. This is perfect and also soooo easy to fold up and store away. The color is so very cool.
