Perfect size; the nose/mouth slot is genius
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Some Balaclavas can be too tight or the wrong proportions such that the opening doesn't match up well with your eyes & nose. The Merino 360 Apex is the best I've found so far related to fit and comfort. Even better is the well-designed / placed slot under where your nose would be. The slot helps minimize condensation build up and is more enjoyable being able to breath some fresh air.
Very comfortable for cold mornings
This balaclava has been fantastic for cold morning hunts. It still ends up a bit soggy around my mouth, even with the breathing space, but it is better than some I have used in the past. I like that it is wool and is warm even when I sweat in it as well.
The only Balclava you'll need

Great Balaclava

Super comfortable
I am looking to greatly reduce the amount of polyester clothing items. So an item like this is very clutch - it feels great, covers nicely and keeps me warm and dry
Really comfy for skiing. Merino is necessary bc synthetics make my face cold w the constant moisture from my mouth. No problem w that thanks to the merino though!

merino is the key here. dries quick, provides warmth, and doesn't smell like death on day three.
