Stylish and safe, but too much room
Very roomy! I usually wear 10.5 but they were too big so I got size 10. They were still extremely roomy in the foot area, very wide, even with thick wool socks, even when I cinch up the laces as tight as I can. My foot is moving around inside the boot all the time. But I realized if I went another size down to 9.5 my toes would crunch against the front (and probably still have width to spare). I do need the grip on the soul (broke my ankle a few years ago slipping on Minnesota winter ice and I'll never mess around again). I also like this style much better than most Icebug boots, they are usually pretty ugly but I can wear these casually all winter and not have to choose between being unsafe but stylish, or being safe but wearing ridiculously ugly boots on dates or other social functions.
Loose fit, thin material
The fit of the boot, while true to size is very loose, more like a casual shoe than a boot. It would be tough to do a hike in these. The studs are great, but the boot seems to lack any real insulation, despite what the description promises. I’d suggest these boots would be okay on a cool autumn evening, but definitely not in the winter. Which is odd, since the studs do so well on ice.
Perfect for walking dogs in icy/snowy conditions
Amazing shoes! great grip whether on ice/snow/or asphalt. makes walking our deerhounds during winter a breeze. Fit perfect, very light compared to my leather boots. Also made it easier to clear the snow with my snowblower - no sliding. Now my wife wants some!
