For Hallux Limitus/Rigidus Sufferers
This review may be premature because I've so far only worn these for one 6-mile hike. But I'm writing this to share my experience and hopefully help others. I admit these seemed gimmicky to me. But I felt like I had nothing to lose. I suffer from Hallux Limitus/Rigidus of the First Metatarsal (otherwise known as Rigamortis of the Big Toe lol) with a dorsal bunion. I've so far spent over 2 years seeing and/or consulting with 4 podiatrists, 2 orthopedists (1 being a sports medicine doc) and a Physical Therapist, have had 2 pairs of custom orthotics made, both costing $250. Neither were helpful even after several adjustments. The first pair caused me to over supinate which destroyed expensive running shoes in no time and compressed my toes badly. I should have stopped wearing them way sooner because the compression resulted in the tender skin next to the toenail getting rubbed so I'd be unable to sleep due to the burning sensation. The second pair caused a lot of pressure and discomfort at the 5th metatarsal as well as knee and hip pain. Total waste of time and money. I've tried Zen toes and taping to help better align my toes and prevent calluses on my baby toes as well as the burning pain on the bad big toe already mentioned. Zen toes (a silicone toe cap) helped a lot but not al the way. I've also tried taping. I've bought and returned more pairs of practically every style and size of athletic shoe available in the last 2 months alone. And I've spent close to $2,000. Nothing has worked......until these. I'm a Women's shoe size 10.5 narrow. The Large fit perfectly. I also bought the liners (size Med) and wore them together. Perhaps this combo prevents getting the holes other reviewers have mentioned? It was a bit awkward getting them on but I figured out that if you hold them open and roll them down so you're holding just the toes part, then start by putting your big toe in, then your baby toe, then the 2nd metatarsal, etc., it works pretty well. They were a bit uncomfortable to begin with I'll admit. But after about 40 minutes I didn't notice them. In fact I wore them all day. They kept my toes in splayed alignment which not only kept my bad toe bone from hurting, but prevented it rubbing. No burning pain that day or night, yay! It's still early days, so fingers X'd they'll still be keepers. I hope this helps you!

Meh…
First pair of injinji toe socks. After all the hype over them and the high price tag, I expected the footbed to be thicker than they are. To me, they don’t seem much different than socks I have purchased off of Amazon for less. The sock tube (that goes up your leg) is very good. Doesn’t shift or fall down and fits snug but not tight. Overall, they aren’t bad and I am keeping them, But I expected a better padded foot like smartwool socks. I don’t feel they are worth $17. I will only buy more if they go on sale.

Most comfortable socks yet.

Did not remove socks for two days the first time I put them on. No discomfort at all; I spent much of this last summer barefoot, and the support from these socks makes a difference, without being much of a buffer. Also good for preventing wear on sandal grip textures, mitigating smell and sweat retention. Most comfortable socks yet.

Injini Socks are Worth the Purchase.

I’ve been using Injini socks for a few years, mostly for running. Recently I started using them for daily use, hiking, and hunting. The fit is near perfect, they’re cozy, and supportive. Based on my previous experiences with Injini socks, I purchased 3 pairs of the med weight crew socks. I’ve gotten lots of miles out of my running Injini socks, and these seem to be equal quality. 2 biggest reasons for not giving 5 stars, they’re made of mostly synthetic fiber, and they’re not made in the USA. I would recommend them.

great socks, run small

Great socks that bring freedom to my toes. Love these guys. Have hiked two seasons in these. They are durable as well. They tend to shrink with time so I wish they were just a tad larger. But they are great the way they are.

Great Blister Preventers

I used to get loads of blisters while hiking especially on my toes. I have walked in these socks for hundreds of miles and absolutely love them. I do long distance hikes......150 to 500 mile hikes......these socks are wonderful.

Well made trail toe socks

I bought these and the mini crew from Injinji also. I already wrote a review of the mini saying I didn’t love its thickness. These socks however are a good thickness for me for long trail runs. I don’t slide around or have any blisters. I have only done cold and damp so far, we’ll see in summer. I will not buy the mini again but buy these instead if I need more toe socks. These size L fit my size 13 feet with long toes well.

Cold feet no more

I cannot make it through a Minnesota winter in comfort without these socks. Before I tried toe socks I would have cold clammy feet. These toe socks wick any moisture away and my feet stay dry and warm.

Comfortable Socks

I recently ordered 2 pairs of these socks after a friend recommended them and have worn them a few times over the past couple weeks. I had to exchange one pair that was defective due to a loose thread inside one sock. The exchange was very easy process. These medium weight socks have a decent amount of padding and feel like they have some compression as well. They keep my toes separated and are very comfortable.
