Adidas is my go to brand, I’d been wanting some Walking / Hiking shoes for some time. Yes they run small and need to size up, the uppers are very solid and durable, they are very comfortable despite the extra stiffness in the sole plate and heel. My issue and disappointment is in the wear on the sole. Having worn these most days for a few a couple of hours in normal conditions, the wear on the sole, especially the ball of the foot is surprisingly very high and not what I’d expected or experienced from any other Adidas shoe, given they are made using Continental rubber - personally I expected much better wear as these are designed for rugged conditions.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am happy with my Adidas hiking shoes specially I got them while on sales
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Terrex AX4 Hiking shoes are the most Comfortable, sturdy but so soft to walk in shoes I have ever had.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Really comfortable shoe, hard wearing. Would thoroughly recommend them
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Amazingly comfy shoe, brilliant fit absolutely love these.
I took these shoes hiking for a week in Acadia NP. I was skeptical about an Adidas hiking shoe, but they wowed me. These shoes performed wonderfully right out of the box, they needed no breaking in. I hiked about 20 miles in them, held up very well in all sorts of terrain, mud, gravel, slippery granite. They are a great shoe.
I love these shoes, but after just 2 months of average use they are already seeing some major wear. The front rubber is falling off as the glue has failed. And other areas on the shoe are seeing fabric wear.
If I were you, I would close the Adidas tab and go find a hiking shoe elsewhere. I saw these on sale, they were super cute, and I bought them. I wanted to love them so badly. I broke them in on 2-4 hour hikes several days a week for over two months. Then I went to do the Camino de Santiago. 10-mile hikes every day for 10 days. Had to switch to flip-flops, it was impossible to walk, blisters everywhere, my toes were on fire. It was like someone poured cement on my foot and when it dried, that was this shoe. I wish I could return them. Adidas is not a hiking shoe brand. Do yourself a favor and go to a brand that specializes in hiking boots.
These shoes are very uncomfortable and heavy. I bought these abroad and when I tried them at the store the fit seemed okay, it wasn’t until I started going on walks that I noticed these were small on me making my toes hurt and one would bleed (and I got a size bigger than I normally wear). They run small so probably you’ll have to request two sizes more than what you normally wear. These are not waterproof meaning if you walk on wet grass you’ll notice that your socks are wet when you take off the shoes. I am in the process of requesting an exchange. Feeling very unhappy as these were very expensive.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I originally ordered & got a pair I had to return because of issues with finished product. My 2nd pair that was sent as replacement had same issue. **I am a former corporate security officer for a corporation that had 3 major brands within the fashion industry. And what I received both times would be considered 2nds... Not 1sts on any given finished production run... I'm disappointed in Adidas.
