Ok boots, but got bad blisters.
These were nice NNN BC boots, but after my first time trying them, they are going back to REI. The boots have like a metal toe lining, and the metal ends about halfway down your big toe. So when you ski and the boot bends, the metal toe part digs right into your big toes. I don’t think this is an issue with breaking in the shoes. In the picture you can see the creases in the boots from only one use and where the pressure points on your big toes are. I got very bad blisters on both big toes right where the creases are.
Functional but mediocre
Pros: -Good ankle support -Mostly waterproof Cons: -The leather behind the toe box near the laces pinches together with each stride - I did not have issues with blistering as another review noted, but it is uncomfortable, and I am not optimistic about the longevity of these boots with such a consistent wear point -These are "unisex", meaning they are meant more for men's feet - the arch is in the wrong place for most women's feet so the fit isn't ideal -Very short shoe laces Bottom line: They're functional, but for the price I expected more. They were the only NNNBC boots left in roughly my size when my old pair was falling to pieces - otherwise I would have saved my money to invest in a better boot at the beginning of the next season
Confident/comfortable - moderately stiff BCX boot
Great boot; moderately stiff for easy skin climbs and non-aggressive tele skiing. Actually a great replacement for old Asolo snowfield 3 pin boots. I find BCX bindings solid for casual tele skiing and snow camping treks. There are stiffer alternatives, but I found those boots need more wear in time. Also if more aggressive tele skiing is your priority I like KT or NTN kit for stiffness
Crease across to top of my right foot
I finally replaced these boots. They crease across the top of my foot causing much pain, especially with my right foot. I've tried sock combos and lacing, but nothing works. It's too late to return that and they're in good shape so I'll maybe try to sell them on Craigslist. Or Friday is garbage day. I never want to put them on my feet again.
Warm and supportive
I’ve put just about 50 miles on these now. Fit true to size. They’ve kept my feet warm down to 1deg F with medium thickness socks. They were broken in on my second outing. As someone said, the laces are a little short. They’re more comfortable than any pair of rental boots I have had in the past
Good boot
I am pleased with the fit of these boots. They seem sturdy for their weight. I have used them on one tour so far. I found the laces a pinch short and got some that were about 4 inches longer. They are not as warm as I expected, but my socks may have been damp from the drive to the mountains, which might have affected their warmth. Not a show stopper.
True to Size
Very good fit, at least for EU 42. Solidly built with good cushion and rocker sole.
Perfect
These were comfortable right out of the box. They were just the size I needed.
Fischer Quality is Cr@p
Fischer quality is horrible and they do not stand by their products. Buy Rossignol, Madhus, anything but Fischer
Nice BC boots
Boots looks well made but I retuned them since they are too heavy for light ski touring.
