Grippy!

I wanted platform shoes that were easy to put on (no laces), comfy, and provided good grip – these ticked all the boxes. I didn't want to fuss around with laces so it was either velcro or BOAs. The sock-like sleeve is great for preventing dirt getting in the shoe. Two notable things though: it can get warm in hot days and I sometimes wish it wasn't so stiff. I think if it had a bit more flex it would be easier to walk in but the extra stiffness helps with more efficient power transfer to the pedals.

Improved my MTB experience instantly

Grip is outstanding. Nice solid feeling base really helps you drive into the pedals and supports your foot massively on drops and tough terrain. The velcro allows you to apply extra pressure exactly where feels best for you, and the sock closure helps the shoe sit closer to the ankle so its snug; no heel slip at all. Solid, robust upper constructed of premium materials/techniques, yet no heavier than your average trainer/sneaker. Absolute beast of a shoe! I honestly wouldn’t want to ride anything else. Hoping the velcro holds up long term, it seems like its high enough quality to.

Awesome do it all shoes

Fits true to size. Better width for me than the trailcross series. Grip is on par with freerider pro lows. Have been using them in a rotation with three Free Rider Pro low and the trailcross flats. These have been the ones i look forward to wearing the most.

overall great shoes

These are probably my favorite pair of mountain biking shoes so far, the sock uppers allow mobility but keep things out of your shoes. The soles are super grippy, the tow box is much more reinforced than my last pair of shoes. The size is a tad bigger than my previous five tens of the same size, but the fit is still comfortable. The sock could be a little tighter, but overall it does a great but not perfect job. The Velcro closure is actually really good. I thought maybe dirt and debris would make it not work as well, but it's actually not been a problem at all. The shoe is pretty quality and I really like them. I've always been annoyed with all the rocks and dirt in my shoes, and this solves that problem really well. The style might not be for everyone, but they really don't look strange if your already wearing dark colored socks, you really don't notice it.

Finally an all-velcro flat mtb shoe for adults with all the technology!

Superb grip on pedals due to the best in class Stealth S1 rubber! Perfect tune for your soles on a mountain bike pedal. No laces to "tuck" or cover; there aren't any! No soggy laces and no extra foam in heel so does well in all conditions. Velcro is super low-profile and adjustable. D3O medial ankle guard inserted well into the knitted, socklike upper. Unbelievable performance, love this shoe!

Ankle Chainsaws

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The shoe works as well as the traditional Freerider Pro's (i.e. Stealth rubber) and will keep sand out of your shoe with the built-in sock. The total failure comes from the fact that the tongue cut into my ankles when going through the full motion of pedaling. The tongue edge is a thin and stiff-ish material that does not give when you pedal.

Sick shoes

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great shoes for biking, Velcro works really well and the sole is obviously super sticky. The only thing I could say is they are had to slip on as the opening is tight but fit really well once on.
