Love this travel bag!
It is just the right size to hold all of my skin & hair care products, soap, toothpaste & toothbrush and more. The zippered pocket is perfect for holding supplements and/or medicines. It will fit easily in a backpack or suitcase for camping or traveling. I can see it being useful for organizing and storing things at home too so I plan on buying a few more.
Finally a bag in the elusive mustard/gold color
Love this little bag. It’s perfect for the gym or for a travel toiletries. The wrist handle is handy. Lol Love the mustard yellow/gold color.
Good but a little small
I really like this kit for certain details. The fabric is durable and water resistant which is great for any spills that might happen in the bag. I like the little mesh pocket inside but I wish there was another pocket and it was a bigger pocket since this is the “large” size. It does hold a good amount but I expected it to be bigger based on the title and I think a little more volume would be really useful!
I use it like a fanny pack, without the fanny.
I use this instead of a fanny pack. It’s the perfect size for wallet, keys, phone, sunglasses, AirPods, etc. I drop it in my larger work tote bag for work days. It’s so easy to grab and go (the corner straps that stick out are super easy to pull it out with) on days off running errands when you just need your basic items. I loop the bag on my wrist when my hands are full carrying other items. The details don’t mention that the inside feels like it has a light rubberized coating so the bag is water resistant. It’s such a great, simple, useful bag!
Great for everyday
I use this Travel kit everyday. It fits everything I need and makes it easy to travel. I do not have to pack my toiletries, I just zip this up and go. I make sure to buy products that will fit but it is almost never a limitation.
Diaper bag insert
We use this bag (and the small one) as diaper bags. Since they are nylon, they’re easy to slip in and out of the large backpack-style diaper bag that holds both kids’ stuff for the whole day. That way we don’t need to take allll the stuff to the bathroom for a diaper change. The small toiletry bag holds everything we need for a single diaper change (cloth diapers and wipes), while the large one holds enough stuff for two or three diaper changes. The webbing is brilliantly designed, since it lets you easily make loops of different sizes and orientations and makes it easy to hang the bag from the stroller or from a hook, and it’s fairly easy to operate one-handed. If you’re thinking of using this for diapering, DO IT.
Perfect size for so many things
I needed a small bag for work to hold my stethoscope, pens, small lotion, container, and other various things to help a nurse get through the day. There's so much room, even after I get my stethoscope in I can still maneuver around the stethoscope to get other items. Many people mentioned that they use it as an everyday carry bag inside of a larger bag, that is a great use. The little zippered pocket on the inside was a nice surprise. That keeps the charging cords tidy and I can always find my lip balm. Just a great all-around bag.
Great overnight bag
This bag held everything my old hard bag held, even with a little more extra room. I was worried a soft bag would get punctured but this is durable enough I doubt that will happen. I like the separate holder I use for my toothbrush/case and the zipper part for my smaller items that would be easy to lose. My favorite is that since it's soft, it fits in my backpack so I don't need to remove my tech from my backpack nor bring an extra bag just to fit everything. The fact it can attach to my backpack to make room inside is just an extra benefit for short trips where you really don't want to bring a suitcase. As someone that travels a ton, this make packing that much easier and one less thing to worry about fitting.
Secure and functional
As a fairly low maintenance man, this is the perfect size for all of my toiletries when camping/traveling. The ability to change the positioning of the hanging strap is great; and when the bag is hanging with the zipper totally vertical, you can still access the bag (while in a shower, etc) without having the contents falling out
Flattens out to save space
I have 3 Dopp kits in rotation: Sea to Summit trapezoidal made of silnylon, with semi rigid piping along the main edges to give it structure; a tiny discontinued micro Dopp kit from REI; and a mini discontinued REI. All three organize better than this latest REI design. All three also waste more space than this latest REI - my earlier Dopps cannot be efficiently flattened to reclaim space in my luggage. I have therefore relegated the early Dopps for use as electronics kits - old phablet as media player and for ebooks, cables, charger, power bank in case outlets are scarce. This new one holds my toiletries and electric shaver with room to spare for extra eyeglasses. Compared to just using a slider lock quart or gallon bag, a plastic bag handles wet spots on the sink better, but this fabric Dopp provides much greater privacy. I’m resigned to throwing this in the wash. There will be inevitable spills and contamination on inside and outside. Although come to think of it, a gallon slider lock bag to keep this dry next to the sink would be easy peasy and keep the exterior cleaner and dryer. The single negative is the location of the hang strap on bags end, guaranteed to dump the contents.
