Description is wrong and fit is bad

A lot wrong with the description on the website for these snow bibs vs what they actually are. - there are NO inseam vents, no vents anywhere actually other than leaving the side zippers open which would let in snow. -the chest pocket does NOT have a zipper closure, it is velcro. -the kangaroo pocket (hoodie sweatshirt type pocket) is separate, underneath the chest pocket, the description does not say that, and has one snap style button on each end for security. there are no mesh drop pockets. I am on the skinnier side and wear a Medium in pretty much everything. The Mediums of this bib fit pretty tight, especially in the waist and seat areas. Squatting down/motions, as one typically does snowboarding, created a lot of bunching and could lead to a rip/tear with how tight they got. I am assuming the 'drop seat' should prevent that, but it doesn't. If you are going to get this, I would size up. Long story short, I will be returning and don't recommend.

Long Inseam Shorter than Listed

I'm a 6'4" snowboarder (33" waist) needed an actual tall/long fit, ordered M/Long. Waist felt fine, but the listed 34" inseam felt short, turned out to actually measure about 32.5" on mine (along the literal inseam stitching to bottom of pant leg). Kinda disappointed, but not too badly since I got them on sale for a moderate price. I have the shoulder straps maxed out too, and it barely helps sag them low enough to reach the bridge of my boots- more adjustment range would have been nice to have there too in this size, if you guys are serious about having as product for us taller dudes (pls go full send and put a 36" inseam on future long models - that would actually be substantial heh) Going to keep em since I need them for an upcoming trip and don't have time to try to exchange, will just deal with the shortness, and look like a noob :D

Downgrade from previous Firefall Bib model

I bought these firefall Bibs on sale because I have a firefall bib from the 2021 season and wanted a different color. The 2021 bibs were excellent, all the major features at a great price point. Sadly, MH decided to do away with a lot of the features that made the 2021 bib so great. Major downgrades: 1. The 2021 bib had a zipper kangaroo chest which was great for securing items like the phone. The 2023-24 bib has velcro that doesn't feel as secure. 2. While the 2021 bib didn't have inseam vent zippers either, it did have zippers that went all the way down the length of the bib. The 2023-24 bib only has the side zipper down the waist area. 3. The 2021 bib had more flexible material and, therefore, felt easier to bend at the knees without the entire bib moving. 4. The suspenders on the 2021 bib allowed you to unhook them at the front if needed. The 2023-24 bibs don't have that ability. While the extra pockets on the front quads were nice, I wish MH didn't stray from what made the original Firefall bib so great

Tight in Weight & Hips Area - Not for Everyone

This would be a great bib if it offered more room in the hips & waist area. Very good construction, good insulation (just enough to provide some extra warmth, but not too much where you can only use this on frigid days). Not too baggy in the lower part of the leg as many other bibs on the market. The challenge, however, is the fit. One third through a squatting motion and the knees begin to pull the material so much that your mobility is severally constrained, which is not what you want when skiing. I guess it would be fine for really lanky, slim folks, but not great for anyone else (I'm a solid L size based on the size chart)

No inseam vents but well made.

Well made bibs on the smaller side of large but like another review stated I found out there are NO INSEAM VENTS even if the description states there is. Having seen that review after I bought them I called to ask and was assumed they have them. I get the bibs and no inseam vents. Wow. Returning them.

Restrictive thigh/seat

Seat and thighs are really tight. I’ve got athletic legs and butt, and both the medium and large were just too restrictive in those areas. I’ve read reviews on different mtn hardwear bottoms that have said the same thing, but decided to see for myself. I couldn’t imagine trying to ski or ride without freedom of motion. For reference, I’m 5’10”, 170 pounds. Size 33” waist, 32” length in all pants. Medium bib was perfect in length and waist, just way too restrictive through thigh and seat. Overall quality seemed great though, and I’m disappointed I’ll have to send them back.

Good but could be better

The fit is good, not baggy at all. The material is a little crinkly but seems like decent quality. Velcro pockets are very securely closed which is nice but makes them almost impossible to open with gloves on. Zipper pulls on the two front leg pockets (the only pockets you’re likely to use) should be chunkier to allow better access. The insulation is ok, was warm enough for 20 degree day with spandex running tights underneath. It could be thicker in the seat to make for a more comfortable chairlift ride.

Great ergonomic fit, great features, comfortable

I have not used these bibs yet, but so far so good. The fit, comfort and features are great. The ergonomic knee keeps the bib from binding at the knee when squatting. The cargo pockets over the front thighs are useful and functional (vs back pockets). The only area that could use improvement are the boot gators, they're a little on the short side. I noticed the same thing in Mt Hardwear's jacket powder skirts as well. If an inch or two could be added to both, they'd be perfect!

Quality bib at a great price

5’7” 33” waist & bought large-short & fits well. I would have liked full side zip sides since it is awkward getting on & off. The bib snaps do not come off, but are length adjustable. Fit is narrow in waist and thighs. I used with fleece pants underneath with no problem. I like the many pockets, but would prefer all zip. Read sizing before ordering. I’m usually a medium, but needed large to accommodate layers.
