Great Product.
Great for creating your own Alpine draws/extended draws. I took a fall with one of these, and, well, I'm still alive.
The one Alpine draw!
This is the most common alpine draw I see out there period and that a testament to the excellent quality and value of these slings. Bigwalls to alpine adventures and everything in between.
Climb the mountain cliff with ease!
I opted to use it as a “quick connect” with two Caribbeans to attach my rope to to the rock wall when going up! Works great! I felt secure when on the mountain cliff and could clamp my hands into the clevis of the rock with ease due to their light weight. They look so good that I like to hang them off of my pack when I go to the indoor rock wall! Only con: they need to make ones that retract some how as they hung so low off my harness that I was tripping all over the place. All in all, great product!
Versatile Dynema Sling
Despite the low pro/thin appearance of these slings, they are incredible strong and versatile. They are great for anchor building for outside climbing, creating an alpine quickdraw, or as an extension to any gear that needs to be able to hold weight. One of my favorite applications is as a leash from my Petzl ascender to my foot to enable quick and easy rope ascending. It weighs almost nothing and takes up very little room while having infinite (possibly an exaggeration but not by much) use cases.
Love these runners, even for sport climbing
Call me crazy, but I have at least one of these on my harness when sport climbing. Unless I'm on a real redpoint burn on a project, I never know when I'll want to bust one of these out to reduce rope drag, or stand in one to bypass a crux to work on a sequence. Also, I'm not tall, and I'm a chicken, so I have been known to use these to extend clips as well! They are awesome for trad as well, but I'm sure everyone knows that by now!
Favorite rappel extension.
This runner is a great multi-use item. It can be used for building anchors but it also makes an excellent leash for rappelling. When tied, the length between the rappel devise and carabiner works significantly better than a nylon runner of the same length. I always have one on my rack for this reason. Highly recommended!
Great for Alpine Draws
The 60cm length is perfect for Alpine Draws. I haven't had the oppurtunity to try them out for slinging chickenheads/horns but I imagine they would be great for that as well. 30cm length works well if you want to do the Texas Rope Trick to bail on a bolted route without leaving any gear.
240cm
I use these for alpine anchors. I used to use cordalette. . . now I just use these if I am block leading and use the rope if we are swinging pitches. I like them because of how light they are but I like them even more because they take up so little space on my harness
Superior to all
Dyneema runners are lightweight and much stronger than nylon runners. Nylon does have its place, i.e. building anchors and whatnot, but the Dyneema is much more suited for the lead climber going up a rad trad route. An absolute must if you're spending a whole of send.
They’re nice
I’m not sure how excited one can get about runners, but these are nice. I replaced some old ones, and compared with those well-loved older runners, the new ones are very supple. Adding I got them on sale and I’m very happy with my purchase.
