Cozy and wonderful. I tend to be cool and I own a variety of Icebreaker Merino clothing. I wear them almost all the time. I machine wash them in cool, delicate and air dry-Never a problem with holes, except when my cats get rambunctious. Then I do a little mending because I love my Icebreaker. I'm currently wearing the 260 Tech over a 200 Oasis longsleeve. I usually purchase XS, I'm 5'2" 103 lb and the XS in the 260 is slightly more roomy and longer than the 200 Oasis. I'm going to order it in Navy too.
This is the most comfortable base layer or merino wool top I have ever put on. I know merino is amazing, and these days it's pretty darn soft; but still every other brand I've tried I do still feel a bit itchy and prickly in. Not this one! I haven't been itchy once. It keeps me warm, dry, and comfy layered under a fleece, puffy, and shell on cold winter hikes, and it's just thick enough (and gorgeous in the yellow color) that I wear this around as a regular sweater top sometimes all on it's own. It's expensive, but actually worth it. I would love another.
I’m giving this crew a solid 4.75 stars. Its the perfect crew and I’m glad I have one in black… it goes with everything and I can multi-purpose for winter business casual under a jacket or a vest, hiking, running, etc. I’m 5’3”, 135lbs, b cup, and the small fits perfect. It washes and dries well, and you can’t beat merino for moisture wicking, temperature regulating, odor proof. Icebreaker knows what they are doing in terms of quality. However when it comes to base camp on a chilly night or a super cold day hike, I prefer the half zip for that added warmth of merino around my neck with out having to carry an extra article like a gator. I knew this was a consideration and I bought the crew because it’s more work-ready. But there might be a black half zip in my future.
Icebreaker wool shirts have not disappointed me yet. I only wear these to hike in Winter and Sumer. Retains its form and color even after several washes. Super comfortable material and great fit
This top is so comfortable and the fit is absolutely perfect. I typically wear a size small but they were out of stock so I decided to try the xs. It fits perfect! The material is perfectly thick and cozy, super soft and warm. The arms are long enough even for my long arms and the length is great for my tall height. Literally perfection and worth every penny!
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love this long sleeve thermal top and it ACTUALLY WORKS!!!!!!! I have tried so many thermal style under shirts for years and years as I really do suffer in the cold. I work very long hours outside sometimes and this thermal top is just incredible. I wear a T shirt style undershirt next to my skin, then this thermal top on top of that, then I only need one other layer before my outerwear goes on. I can move my arms more freely now because I need less layers. This thermal top actually works and feels super comfy and it is cut so well to fit my body. I just love it. Get one......or two ......
i’ve worn this for walking, hiking, and going out and about. loved it every single time. pair with a tank under - and a vest over and it handles cold to mild weather beautifully. sweat evaporates and it doesn’t get smelly. nice enough to look like a sweater vs looking like an undergarment. other icebreaker products in large were slightly too small on me but this fit perfectly.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the feel and warmth layer of the 260 thermal top. Have purchased the new colors each year and wear them under my cashmere sweaters in my cold office, but show the cuff and hip area for that color contrast. Love the longer length for us tall folks. I size up since I like a looser fit. I wore my 260 thermal crew every day in Patagonia, under my jacket, and was warm. Functions like a light sweater and is a beautiful comfy layer for travel. When I returned from my trip I bought the basic black and navy colors, because I was so impressed with the travel versatility of Icebreaker once again. I've packed their pieces for travel - warm to freezing temps - for 10 years now. Icebreaker is my go-to travel wardrobe.
Love this shirt! It's super soft, even softer and stretchier than my 200 weight one. Not at all itchy. the cherry color is a bit brighter than the picture, but a nice slightly blue-red, as opposed to orange-red. Like it. Fit is TTS for small.
These base layers are the absolute best. I can walk 5 miles in just this shirt and my light fleece jacket in mid 30 temps and am comfortable. I wish they came in more colors-these would b my go to winter shirts that’s how nice they are!
