Rugged
This bag is on every water related trip I take. Never a drop. The roll top is convenient. Does not impede access to the contents. Nylon straps are very well secured. Gear loops helpful. Alaska Airlines tried to ruin mine, must have dragged it across the whole tarmac. Scratched it up pretty good. No holes. Patched a couple of the thinner spots anyway. The patches have held for several other trips.
Ripped on 2nd use - not treated badly
We raft once or twice a year, and this gear bag ripped along the zipper end after its second trip. Our trips are kid-friendly on relatively flat water (Class II - some people just SUP or float in duckies). We only store bedding in it. It is not overpacked. It is not resting or jostling against anything hard or sharp - because we've packed rafts and cars and camped before. Sad it couldn't handle gentle treatment because we expect more out of NRS, given the numerous other items we have that they make.
