Purchased 2 of them, one for each my teenage boys. They love them. They are light weight and easy to paddle. One kid is over 6ft tall he fits comfortably in the kayak and easy for him to get in/ out of it. We especially love the compartments.

Bought this primarily to due to weight, 36-37lbs. I had trouble lifting previous kayak onto car roof by myself and found this model which was 11lbs lighter. It made a nice difference and I can lift the Pelican on my car with more ease. As a recreational level kayak, it works really well. I took in mostly flat water rivers and I have no complaints. I'd recommend to anyone looking for an entry level recreational kayak where weight is a concern.

This kayak was the perfect gift. They loved it and thought it was easy to maneuver through the tide and waves. Quick and responsive to paddle strokes and light on the water.
