Bought these about a year ago as a stiffer option and an all day shoe and I'm loving them. A lovely heel, super stiff sole, and nice durable rubber, whilst still being something that I can belay in without too much trouble. I went one UK size down from my street size, which was painful at first, but now I feel like I should have gone a half size or more smaller. I use the same size as I do in the zenist, and they for much, much tighter
These are a great step up from the Evolv Kira's for anyone looking for something slightly more aggressive, but still on the moderate side. I don't like the color at all, but the shoes fit so well that I had to buy them. My scarpas always had too much room in the heels and the shoes would slide around during heel hooks. These fit perfectly in the heels and feel solid. They are also pretty comfortable. I often forget to take them off when I am belaying because they don't really cause me any discomfort. They are holding up pretty well after about 3 months of climbing 3 times a week on average. I mostly boulder but I also use them when I top rope. I think they are an overall great climbing shoe for intermediate climbers.
The best shoe for most climbs (bouldering, sport climbing, outdoors). I've worn La Sportiva's (Solutions, Tarantulace, Mythos, Skwama) and Scarpa's (Vapor V's, Quantics, Instinct VS)...and this one has been my favorite/go-to shoe. I settled with these because most brands did not have my shoe size (6.5 street shoe size). The way this pair of shoes break-in is amazing. After 1-2 climbs, it feels like it molds to my feet and feels amazing. I bought these shoes in my street shoe size & they are perfect...never gave too much dead space or air in the shoe after lots and lots of climbing. The Trax rubber is not the stickiest, but it is the most durable. I have really narrow feet with an arch and this shoe has not only fit the best but lasted me a while. Definitely a shoe I would resole or buy again if it came to that.
I'm obsessed with these shoes. I have a narrow foot and they're super prone to blisters, I don't like a super aggressive shoe, and Not a lot of climbing shoes fit me great because I also have a high arch. these I'm in love with so much that I bought a second pair when they went on sale for when my first pair is completely done for. I love the shape and the toe, I can feel the difference in my climbing, in particular small foot holds. I use these bouldering, in the gym, outside the gym, sport climbing/leading, trad climbing. I was told by a rep they'll stop selling them, probably this year, and I tried the newer version which I do not like. I'll be a sad Panda when these are no longer made, but for now I will love and appreciate them.
I bought this 2 weeks ago and overall, they are a nice pair of climbing shoes. I climb indoors and these are my 3rd ever pair of climbing shoes. Very comfortable. Some things I would note are that I thought they would be more aggressive going by all of the images of all the versions of Geshidos - regular, LV, lace. Pretty soft rubber and overall doesn't hold that arched shape when they are broken in. My main pair are the Phantoms and these feel drastically different. I wanted a less aggressive pair to switch off with. If you're looking for something a little more aggressive, I would not recommend. if you're getting into doing more technical stuff without jumping to a super aggressive pair, these are great.
I chose these shoes based on their fit-- never have I wiggled my toes into a climbing shoe that felt so nice! The velcro straps and ease of taking on/off seemed perfect for the gym climbing that I primarily do, and my wide and tall foot didn't feel pinched unnaturally. Unfortunately the rubber did not perform very well on plastic gym holds and I returned for a grippier shoe. If you love not being in pain and do a lot of outdoor climbing, this might be the shoe for you!
Great shape/toe point and super sticky rubber!
I have wide feet, NO heel, medium arch, and these fit the best. Every other shoe I tried left way too much extra space the heel cup. I still have a little space in my heel cup, but it’s manageable.
I bought these 6ish months ago and loved them, they performed great on the walls. They are also a good mix between slightly aggressive but still comfortable for the feet. I made the mistake of purchasing a different style of shoe after I had worn through these, and I regret not purchasing these again. Now that I have officially worn through the pair I purchased after, I am definitely buying these Geshido's again.
I’ve been wearing these shoes for over a year pretty regularly rotating them with the shamans and I still have not blown through them. Really love these shoes as an all around technical shoe. Will buy again for sure. My only complaint is I wish they weren’t pink. Tired of gender defined coloring on shoes.
