Smartwool just keeps delivering great socks

I have been a long time fan of Smartwool. I got these as cold weather (well, cold for SoCal) cycling. The are perfect. They fit my giant size 16 feet very comfortably. The unexpected bonus was instead of the annoying plastic tab that holds the socks to the cardboard hanger, Smartwool used an elastic band. Yay! No single-use plastic. Now I have great socks and an attractive "friendship" bracelet to wear on my rides.

I can't believe it took me this long to try wool socks for summer use! I normally just wore typical sport socks. That led to the typical issues that go along with cotton/blend sport socks, damp feet and smelly shoes. I avoided wool socks in warmer months because it's counterintuitive that if I want cooler, drier feet that I'd use a "winter" material. I was wrong! My breathable hiking shoes, boots, and everyday tennis shoes wick out the moisture. The result is that my feet better, are drier, and smell better. Likewise for my shoes/boots. I'd say my feet do _feel_ a degree or two warmer, but it's not uncomfortable at all. Just like the funny people in Arizona say... "It's a dry heat".

We love this brand and my husband loves these socks! He swears by them and wears a pair every day. He’s prone to sweating, but has not issues with these. They are comfortable for everyday life to hiking the trails.

I have worn these socks hiking for 2 years of hiking ocean coastal trails to 8000 ft mountain trails & they performed amazingly. Great comfort, not slipping in place & providing an enjoyable hiking experience

there's a great deal more cloth in the toe box area in this year's model. I'm finding that I'm needing to modify my shoe/sock setup this year due to the difference in how these socks are constructed.
