I have long (size 11+) narrow feet with high arches. These boots were comfortable from the moment I put them on--and the arch support is good enough I don't need my orthotics. They aren't waterproof, which is perfect because most of my hiking is in the desert. I wore them on a 5 mile roundtrip hike--up and back with 2400' elevation gain, some over slick granite--and wasn't in a rush to take them off when I got back to camp. They are that comfortable!
When I first ordered these boots I wasn't sure about the color but I love the color! The fit is perfect and they are comfortable and do not need to be broken in. The only issue that I am having is the upper part around my ankle is a little stiff but I believe it will loosen up after they get worn in and I really need the support so I am happy that I bought them.
I don't think these should even be in the Hiking Boot category. They're more of a cross trainer or 'Bridal Path' walking shoe. Way too soft to deal with anything rougher than a groomed trail. The outer sole is so soft they're more like slippers. I did like how breathable they are, didn't like the laces.
