Nicely built, but narrow

My wide feet have been clamoring for new hiking shoes and I am a loyal Merrell customer. I like the look and build of this shoe, but it is more narrow than my previous purchases. Have yet to decide if they are too narrow for me. I would probably stick with Moab if you have a wide foot.

Very comfortable and warm. True to size. Bought these to keep warm without having to wear bulky winter boots!

Very comfortable but fall apart.

Absolutely loved how there was no break in period and how grippy these shoes are. Got me through a year of weekly 5-8 miles on the trail, not used terribly hard. Just over a year later the sole is coming apart, and the tread is all but gone. Seems to me that Merrell's used to last a lot longer. I would expect at least a couple of years out of a shoe, I do resent having to send it to landfill this quickly.

Good sneaker-like waterproof shoe

I have only worn these shoes a few times in rain and they have been waterproof. They are moderately comfortable and I hope this will improve with some break-in. I especially like that they look like sneakers, although they are just as heavy as hiking shoes. It just seems that they are more appropriate for a city rainy day, or on a trip. They have a good griping sole for hiking or light snow and come in a nice range of colors.

Sadly unwearable for intended purpose — hiking

I was super excited to get these shoes. They have a great look for a hiking shoe, and I was happy to find this style available in waterproof. I hike every day rain or shine so this was important to me. The shoes are decently comfortable, but the fit in the heel area is a total dealbreaker. I don’t have a narrow foot and have never had an issue with a sneaker-style shoe slipping off of my heel, but the heel on these shoes is so loose and slips around so easily that hiking is impossible. Unfortunately, I find them a little to bulky/heavy duty for casual wear as well, so I’m not really sure what to do with these now. I really wanted to like them, so I tried tying my laces differently and tried out different insoles but no dice - same slipping heel problem. I’ve had great experiences with Merrell footwear in the past, but these were a major bummer and not worth the price.

The most comfortable shoe I have ever found!

I was looking for good support and a shoe that is waterproof for landscaping . This shoe felt good when I tried it on but after wearing it I knew this was taking care of all the parts of my feet that usually hurt after a days work. I will buy another pair for everyday, they make my feet feel so good! Thank You to the person who designed this great shoe.

Wide Heal

These shoes are really cute, but for some reason the heals are so wide that they keep slipping up and down as I walk. I tried to tighten the laces as much as possible, but it just didn't help. They felt really comfortable otherwise, so I am sad to have to return them.

Zion women’s waterproof

The fit on the heel slipped a little bit but I corrected this with a thin insole. Other than that a great trail shoe. Great foot bed acts as a shock absorber for a comfortable walk. Great traction on mud and yes it is waterproof.

Sole falling apart

Comfy shoes but sole now coming apart in a big way, after about a year and a half of wearing them, mainly in the warmer months. I don’t generally do crazy long hikes so I expected them to last longer.
