Nice bag but got shredded
I used this on a hardtail IBIS DV9 and it had enough clearance even with a dropper post but if i would jump in a lowered position, it would kind of fold down in a way that the bag got stuck against the tire and unfortunately shredded the strap that kind of keeps it held up tight. I understand that it getting shredded by the tire isn't revelate's fault but the strap that keeps it tight being right where the tire hits is a problem because if that gets shredded, you can't tighten it up very well to even get home. I guess the bag is still sort of usable but i'm in search of a stiffer bag that keeps it's position a bit higher.
Lightweight and big enough
I keep an arcteryx cerium down puffy in here plus a multi tool. mine weighs 129g. Love that it can expand and contract by rolling more or less
Another great Revelate design!
This is a well designed adjustable size saddle bag. The bag unrolls and has a decent capacity. It’s large enough to store a couple of tubes and a CO2 inflator with an extra cartridge, a multi-tool, tire levers and a light jacket. If you are putting less stuff in it you can roll it up to a smaller size. There’s a compression strap, too. It’s waterproof as well. One minor issue, the mounting loops that go through the rails to attach to the retaining straps could be just a little longer to make mounting easier. Revelate makes great stuff right here in the USA. If your in the market for a saddle bag, don’t hesitate to buy one.
Just right for a hammock
This bag is well made and fits a single hammock, straps and a blow up pillow. The clips to attach to the seat are a little hard to put on but are solid. It's mainly because it's in a tight spot. I have a size small, full suspension bike and the bag Dows rub on the tire if I don't have the seat all the way up. (I have a dropper) I think with a med or large bike, it would be fine. I would say this bag is a better day trip bag with it's limited volume, but you hardly feel it's there when riding. I just put an extra layer of duct tape where the bag was rubbing to solve the problem.
Solid performance for MTB
Excellent design and durability. This brand Revelate makes several different bike bags. I also have a bolt on top frame bag the Mag-Tank 2000 from this brand and I have been extremely pleased.
Best Road Bike Bag Ever
I have 2 of them because I got one for my girlfriend but she wanted expensive jewelry. Got rid of the girlfriend kept the bag. Takes a little time to get used to fitting it but the adjust-ability is great. Stores almost everything I need for an extended ride.
Solid light pack
Attached to a Specialized Power Geometry saddle. Stem is Carbon Roval and this is perfect since there’s no stem strap. Attachment hook to rails is easy and solid. Straps cinch tight and this is the newer version that has a center strap that holds up the rear. Once cinched down it’s solid with no wiggle. Original version lacks the center strap. Is on sale but I think I would stick with this revised version. Great build solid pack.
Shrew or Shrewd?
Nice Bag seems like it is misssing a front strap
I'm very happy with the bag
I use this on my roady (Super six). It has more than enough room for 2 tubes, my tools, CO2, and, if fully expanded, a light weight jacket. Also, its pretty easy to get on and off the bike and i cant say I've ever felt it flopping around.
Locally made and really nice quality
Got as a gift for my hubby's new bike he loves the quality and that it's made in our state. Hope it lasts for a long time! The quick clips that secure it to the seat rails are really cool!
