Perfect summer shirt

I use this shirt for mountain biking and it's great! It's super lightweight; very moisture wicking; very comfortable and absolutely flattering in terms of fit; and very packable if I ever need to bring it travelling or backpacking. I would definitely use it for other outdoor activities; field work; or even to go to the office.

Perfect summer shirt

I use it for mountain biking but would use it for other outdoor activities; field work; or even going to the office. Super lightweight: fit is very comfortable and absolutely flattering; very moisture wicking (dries extremely fast). Also packs super small so it's great for backpacking or travelling too.

I wish it came in cool prints!

I love this shirt! I have the forest green one from a few styles ago, and I have biked in it most days for a couple months and it is cut well and very comfortable. I really wish it came in better colors/prints though! Plaid and pastels are fine but I think it's missing the ladies mtb market a little bit. Better colors/two-tone shirts in earth tones (like, melanzana or ll.bean anorak) would be sweet. I would also love to see this in cool prints--floral, repeated patterns, hawaiian, etc. The cut is perfect and very in for mountain biking right now! I know so many people who would buy these shirts if they were a little more stylish.

Comfy & Fits

Finally, an Outdoor Research item that fits. I love this shirt; lightweight, button up, hella comfortable, and did I mention it actually fits. I grabbed a M just in case and could probably size down to a Small pretty easily in this shirt. I can easily wear this to work, on my bike commute to work, camping, hiking, and over top my swimsuit for paddle boarding. I would say those who usually buy OR gear, might want to size down as it’s roomy and not their usual sausage casing size.

Great Material but Way Too Much of It

The material on this shirt is amazing. Extremely soft and lightweight. I found the design to be a bit odd (see photo). If the pattern were different, I would buy multiples of this. I just did not find the extra material under the arms comfortable or necessary. I could fit two of myself in it, side by side.

Exactly as described, soft and breathable

I love love love this shirt. It's modeled/described as a non-form fitting button-up that can be worn a few different ways and it's exactly that. I sized down. I'm typically comfortable in a L, but went for M because of the reviews (and the M turned out to be a great flowy fit). I will be buying another one. Love the deep eggplant purple color. It's great to throw on for extra sun protection for paddling or to use as a breathable layer for a hike, but also nice for casual work attire. I've bought it a month ago and wear it all the time. Super packable for adventuring.

Highly recommend for all day mountain and gravel rides

This is a great shirt for mountain or gravel bike touring in high altitude sunny conditions. It's great for sun protection, yet it's light and breezy and feels cool underneath. I much prefer these sun shirts over wearing sunblock. It is not the most flattering fit and I've read complaints that it's too billowy. I think it's purposely designed that way so there is air flow. Great product from Outdoor Research. I'd also recommend the long sleeve version of this shirt for full coverage. I've worn it for all-day rides in 70s temperature and it didn't feel too hot.

Really love this shirt

I haven't hiked with this, but I have worn it in humid, hot New York City days (I'm talking 88 degrees and 80% humidity). I got it size XL in the green color. It is not see-through and it fits a little on the larger size, which I love because it's flowy and breezy and lovely. I think this top looks great with jeans, wide leg palazzo type pants, hiking pants, and more tailored pants. I plan to wear this shirt as casual as I can and dress it up as much as possible. The little pocket fits my wallet, though I have not used it (it's a nice addition though!). I did not find the little pocket to be stiff, though it is a little stiffer since the shirt is so breezy. Looking into getting it in purple on the OR site! Today there was a slight breeze and although I was sweating, the breeze came right through and cooled me off. I look forward to wearing this shirt over and over again!

My second skin!

With all Outdoor Research products, I'm always amazed. Super high-quality materials that withstand even the hottest of climates. I feel like I'm wearing almost nothing but am completely covered and protected, most importantly from the Sun's rays. I wear it, sweat, rinse, dry in minutes, repeat...all in my everyday commute to and from work or on the trail. This material is the closest to comfort in the Sun that I have found, extremely lightweight, packable and the hidden stash pockets are a huge plus. A must out in the desert.

Feels awesome, looks awesome; unfortunately holds body odor

Feels awesome, looks awesome... I love how it's a slightly stretchy material - it makes it super comfortable to wear. I also adore the hidden zip pocket down at the hip. However, I have to knock one star off since the material stinks after 1-2 uses :( This is often a problem with synthetic materials, but synthetics have been getting better with that over the past several years. I only knock off one star, because it doesn't get unbearably stinky. I've still worn it 5+ times in the outdoors climbing, etc without washing.
