This is a new idea that is great

The integration with the poles and extra coverage of the vestibule area helps keep your tent cleaner and gear dryer. Make sure you stake out your vestibule over it or it can become a rain catch.

A Must Have

I bought this to accompany the BA Copper Spur HV UL2 Bikepacking tent for my bikepacking trips. As of today, 5/2/22, I have only set up my tent and footprint a few times for practice (for me, setting up a tent should be second nature because you're most often exhausted at the end of a long day when setting up camp). The footprint and tent match up perfectly, and yes, while the footprint is hexagonal in shape, it is meant to pair with the rainfly's stake loops. When fully taut, the tent and footprint line up and the two entry points into the tent have a nice dry landing spot for shoes, cooking, or gear you don't want in the tent. Also, if you want to save pack weight, you can set up the rainfly with just the footprint. Out of all the tents I have (TNF VE25, REI Passage 1, and NEMO Wagontop 8), the BA Copper Spur Bikepack tent is by far the thinnest and should definitely be paired with the footprint. I do wish it was sold with the tent itself though. I'll update my review after my first few uses.

Footprint

As much as I love the copper bike tent, this footprint is a bit disappointing, for one reason alone. The size is perfect however one issues the pole lugs, they is where the tent poles get hooked to allow the tent to be free standing, well the tension is such that once the frame is set the footing there is no tension and simply get unhooked I have tried multiple setup and just frustration. I am thinking of returning it, or simply get it modified.

Indispensable!

Perfect for the Copper Spur HV UL2 bike packing tent. Protects your tent floor without adding too much space or weight. Indispensable with this tent if you want to make it last longer.

What is even happening!?

This foot print doesn't even line up with the tent. The tent is too big and this footprint is a weird octogon shape and nothing lines up. How did this even pass quality control!?!? I have to call big Agnes and have them explain in detail how this works, and better yet, how they let this failure be made to the public......
