Solid bike lock

When I got a new e-bike, I had to upgrade my lock, and the Kryptonite Evolution Mini was just exactly what I needed. I’m on campus and downtown frequently, so I need a lock that I can trust. I love that this lock has both a U-bolt and a cable, so I can lock the frame to the bike rack and lock the back wheel and helmet with the cable. And it’s small enough not to take up too much room in my pannier. (I didn’t bother with the frame mount). And Kryptonite is so confident about the quality of the lock, they offer a very inexpensive insurance policy on the bike.

Solid option

It's heavy, but it's solid. Signed up on Krypotnite's site for their insurance. For readers of this review who ride Bromptons, this is a good option to secure both front and rear tires. However, it's a little short for locking both the frame and back tire to anything but the most straight and open of bike racks -- and the cable just barely reaches the front wheel. Yes, the geometry of a Brompton is a little wacky and the tiny wheels are farther apart, but it works.

Lock won’t unlock with key
No, I do not recommend this product
Failed within a month. Key is difficult to rotate and eventually the lock would not unlock with the key. Had to call for a ride home and come back with some WD40 and an angle grinder to free my bike. Luckily the WD40 and some careful finagling got it unlocked: otherwise I’d end up looking like a bike thief trying to get my bike out. Will never use this lock again!

Frame mount is useless

Lock seems sturdy. Frame mount is terrible. Impossible to mount and doesn't stay put. Difficult to release the lock from the mount.
