Great gloves for the trail
These gloves breathe well and fit perfectly. They protect my hands well. The gel inserts were a little stiff when I first put them on, but they broke in very quickly. I wish the velcro at the wrist was a little more prominent as it's popped loose once or twice for me, but this is no big deal at all.

Insufficient and inadequate gel padding
The issue I have with these gloves is that the gel padding is too thin, so thin you cannot even tell it is gel (maybe just poor quality gel), and the padding palm coverage is insufficient.

Comfortable & not long lasting?

I purchased these gloves at REI almost exactly one year ago in July 2023. I really enjoy the fit, feel, grip, and the amount of padding for use with a full suspension mtn bike. However, the rubber and Velcro fabric on the Fox wrist tab separated on the left hand glove. I glued & stitched the elements back together to keep the gloves going. And now the fabrics on the right hand glove tab have separated, so I am in the market for new gloves. Maybe I ran them through the clothes washer too much to get the funk out? I did not find these gloves to be consistently touch screen compatible with my iPhone; I have a screen protector/case which adds another layer.

I have used a lot of different gloves - I bought these for mountain biking. These gloves are good but the material seems just a little bit thin however, after about 100 miles of aggressive riding in the woods, they have held up without any problems so, maybe the material is tougher than I thought. These gloves are comfortable and grippy. I wear large and these fit great. The hook-loop closure works well even though it's a small contact patch. Overall, I'm happy with these gloves and they seem to be a good value.

Confident grip on the bike trails

This gloves are great for mountain biking. Super comfortable with the gel palms for a confident grip! These are not waterproof, but great for all other riding conditions.

Perfect fit except velcro closure

The gloves are a perfect fit. The best gloves I have tried on. Padding in just the right places. But when I closed the velcro strap my hands when numb in less than a minute - without riding. When I adjusted the velcro there was not enough attachment to stay closed.

FOX = Style & Performance

Big FOX fan here, and for good reason. Avid mountain biker for decades, and their quality and design always impresses. The Ranger gel gloves fit true to size and provide just enough cushioning to reduce the numbness caused by long technical rides. Being able to work your phone’s touch screen with the special finger tip fibers is a big plus, too. No doubt I’ll be buying them again as soon as I ware these out, which typically takes a couple seasons to do.

Insufficient gel and padding coverage.

There are two things wrong with these gloves. First, the gel padding does not cover the thumb part of your palm. Second, the gel padding is so thin you cannot even tell it is gel. Hence only 3 stars.
