Soft but too tight in upper arm

The Rapha arm warmers (sleeves) are made of soft Merino wool. At the upper end there is a band of grippy silicone-like material to keep them from falling down. They are comfortable except that the upper end is way too tight. I bought the large, which according to the size chart is supposed to fit my biceps, but I can't stand the constriction. I had to cut the to inch of the seam to make them wearable.

3 years and still going strong

3 years in and still going strong. I live in California. These are great for 40-50 degree morning when the sun hasn’t quite come up yet, or after the sun has gone down. I’ve also used them through cyclocross season. I’ve never had a crash or tumble in these, so I can’t speak to their durability in a wreck (however, Rapha offers free repairs for this sort of thing).

Way too small

They look nice, but they are way, way small. I am not a big guy, and mediums were silly tight. Sending them back.
