Great tent that has enough room for our two cots, backpacks, and other extras. Held up well in light rain and the windows provide great flow for breezes to come through. We also really love the retro look with modern features. Set-up is simple and the rain-fly is one of the easiest I have ever put on a tent. Would recommend picking up the optional foot print for added floor protection.
This tent is perfect for my purposes. I am 5’8” tall and can comfortably stand up inside. The mesh top and mesh windows provide a nice view of the outdoors and breeze. Windows can be zipped shut and rain fly placed over the top to keep wind and rain out. Setup was easy and fast with 2 people. Can sleep four adults side by side, but there won’t be room for packs.
This tent is really easy to set up and good for warmer weather. It has great ventilation but the three windows have ties, not zippers, so they don't keep out the wind. This probably helps with stability of the tall tent, we had a fair amount of wind and the tent was fine. Having the guy ropes tuck into pockets is really nice. Roomy for 2 people three would be fine.
Love the tent! I’ve had the tent two years - it’s rained, we stayed very dry; it snowed, the tent stayed standing, 50mph winds, the tents leaned in until I tied it out. All poles survived. Only breakage is one of the corner pole holders. It still works for now, but I need to check on replacement.
I solo car camp. I have not had any issues getting this tent up by myself. For the most part it has held up in the rain. The exception is the first time I took it out, I had a hard time getting it up on the Outer Banks, NC. With the wind off the ocean being as strong as it was, it took myself and 2 park rangers to get it setup. By the 2nd night the wind had taken down one side, even with 4 inch stakes and the guy lines in place. Outside of that I typically camp in the midwest. There has been some windy nights and it didn't budge, I have also had a few rain storms and it stayed completely dried. I would highly recommend the tent.
Used tent for the first time on a weekend camping trip. Easy to assemble and disassemble. Spacious inside. Our one big concern is the zipper on the door. It got stuck on the surrounding material a few times when we were closing it from the outside, which wasn't that big a deal. However, when we tried to close it from the inside of the tent it constantly got stuck on the material...it took us about 5 minutes to zip the door. I thought several times that we had broken it because the teeth seemed to be bent and off track. It's hard to imagine that it will hold up. I am undecided about whether I should return it.
Camped all weekend and overall was pretty happy with this tent. Plenty of room inside for two or three people. I was worried on how it would hold up in the rain, the first night we camped it stormed all night and to my surprise the tent held up great. My only complaint is the floor material is very thin. During the storm a little bit of water got through the floor and into the tent, and that happened with a tarp under the tent. I would also recommend getting an outdoor carpet for inside your tent to protect the floor. Overall the tent is very sturdy and definitely worth the money. I look forward to many years of use with this tent.
Love the height and room. We're using it for two people. Rain fly is way too short.
I bought two of these tents ten years ago. I have used them extensively. Hands down best car camping tents ever. Easy to set up. Easy to take down. Straight walls. I am 6’5” and I can stand up. When camping by myself I bring a cot and crates for my clothes and a table and chair. It is luxurious. I can open the windows for ventilation or close them for privacy. I really think that these tents are a great value and I think you will love them also
We bought this tent for our trip at Bodega Bay! There was crazy wind the first night- we were warm and it was a perfect tent! I am 6’ 2” and I could start in this tent and get dressed! So happy with our purchase.
