Fjallraven  Ovik Travel Shirt - Men's

Excellent material for hot and humid, without the stink of synthetics or the fragility and stretch of wool. Think light burlap, but not scratchy. Most importantly it still breathes some when damp. Small fits perfectly for 5’10, 180lb, 38” chest. Loosish fit similar to other size-S shirts from big-fitting brands like RailRiders. In most brands I get the medium, so I had ordered that first but it was way too long in sleeves and torso. I enjoy an ample fit but it was beyond that. Looks good on the 6’2” models but not me. Took photos of both S & M before returning the M: weights 7.1 ounce and 7.9 oz respectively

As with all Fjallraven products, this shirt is very well made. I purchased the Spicy Orange and am very happy with the color (it's not too bright). I think the style is timeless, good for all ages. Like some other Fjallraven items, this one requlres a bit of extra care. The label reads: do not tumble dry, do not bleach, do not dry clean, iron on low, do not use fabric softener.

I have two colors in this shirt and love them both. It functions well as a casual office shirt, and also works well traveling or in the field.

The shirt feels great and moves nicely with no hang ups. The shirt was previously described as a "Dad" shirt. This couldn't be more from the truth. It's a stylish comfortable shirt that can be worn in almost any setting. The shirt was also described as running large. I'm 5'-11"/190 lbs and it fits like a glove. Whoever wrote that must be built like a 9 year old boy. Overall this is an awesome product and I would highly recommend it.

Three things about this product didn't work for me: 1. Fabric: While light, it was very uncomfortable out of the package. I found it quite scratchy and stiff. That might change with a few washings or some fabric softener. 2. Fit, I'm 6'5", 200lbs, 35" chest & 36" waist with an athletic build. The fit through the shoulders was fine, but it was almost like the cut of the shirt got bigger the further down you went. It was pretty long too--on the verge of being too long 3. Color. I didn't find a hint of blue in this shirt. Functionally, it is black.

This shirt is typical Fjallraven quality. The fabric itself has some texture to it and is light enough to be worn comfortably on a hot summer day. The fit is "european" but with some extra room in the belly area which is nice. I am an XL in most "American" brands, but an XXL in euro fit clothes due to my shoulders. I bought an XXL one of these and the fit is perfect. It's long enough and tapers nicely to keep a sleek look even if you're slightly bigger in the belly. I really like this shirt and look forward to wearing it every time.

Amazing shirt and a go-to for me, especially for personal travel. Material has a linen type feel but does not wrinkle and holds its shape much better than linen - more durable. Also not scratchy on the skin like some cheaper alternatives. Great for a hot day, almost in replace of a broken in Hawaiian shirt but nice enough to wear out to dinner, etc. I own it in both the Sand Stone tan and the Green colors. Periodically check to see if Fjallraven has released a light sky blue, which to me would be the best color… please make one Fjallraven! I’d buy two ;)

I’ve tried everything and this shirt is permanently wrinkled, for how much this brand costs I would expect better quality

I own two of these shirts and overall am quite pleased with them. They are very comfortable, well-ventilated, and timeless - ideal for the summer. The only complaint I have is that there seems to be something wrong with the dye/fabric. There are spots on the fabric that are turning orange/brown, and every time I take it out of my dresser, another discolored spot seems to appear. At first, I thought it may be something that I was doing during the day to stain the fabric or perhaps something in my washer/detergent that was causing it. However, both of the shirts have been plagued by this issue, not just one of them. Additionally, none of my other clothes are affected by this weird discoloration, so I doubt it has anything to do with the way I do my laundry.

I just bought two of these at REI. The moment you put them on you feel cooler. I’m a big fan of linen shirts in summer, and the hemp with these shirts have the same feel. However, they are lighter than most linen shirts. I’m 6’3” tall and the XXL is perfect for me. I hope they keep this style and add colors. The only problem with linen shirts is they usually come in bright pastels. With good colorways, this shirt can really be a great asset in the summer. The travel aspect is no joke, these are light as air and so easy to pack.
