Very nice!
Great add on for my V2, allowing me to transport 2 bikes. It takes about 10-15 minutes to install and remove. Very secure and steady, quality add on, well worth purchasing, highly recommend!
Stable, great position
I love this rack..love the stability and that the bike doesn't dangle, and I can easily open the SUV hatch with the bike on or off.
Difficult to use
The add-on is not simple to use. It should only be used if you don't plan to remove it frequently.
Kuat's Customer Service is TERRIBLE; ref RECALL
I have been hauling bicycle with a rack for nearly 40 years - using Thule, Yakima and, for about the last 10 years, Kuat racks. Recently, I replaced my Kuat Sherpa 1.0 with a Transfer V2. I spent about $700 total. A few days ago I received the recall notice for the Transfer. According to the notice: “We plan to have sufficient repair kits to satisfy the requirements of this recall available as soon as possible. We will notify you of the date of availability for these repair kits as soon as possible. ...” This isn’t acceptable. Rather than making current/past Kuat customers wait for this repair kit, Kuat should be immediately removing these critical parts from Transfer V2 racks that are in current inventory. (And setting this inventory aside to await the “repair kits”.) Since Kuat is not following this second approach to make this repair available immediately, I will never purchase another Kuat product, and I will recommend that my friends, family, co-workers and acquaintances do the same.
