Great rack and a great value

I'm really impressed with the quality and value for this rack. We're a family of 3, so getting a 3-bike rack has felt like the most efficient way to go. There are several name brand options, but all except the Transfer v2 are super expensive. I want to carry our bikes safely and securely, so the big thing I was wondering is if the lower cost was going to sacrifice in either of those departments. It doesn't seem like it! I've carried 2 road bikes on a couple trips so far and the rack is rock solid. The swing arm that ratchets down around the front wheel is burley and doesn't allow any movement at all even at highway speed. The straps that ratchet down around the rear wheels are also very sturdy. The only small thing I noticed is that the rear wheel straps need a little extra padding to securely hold non-aero road wheels. I cut down a couple little blocks of high density foam from the rack's packaging and it works like a charm. Kuat should probably include rubber pads that would be a more permanent solution, but this works fine. The rack itself is pretty straight forward to assemble, it took me about an hour or less. It's *much* lighter than the 4 bike Thule rack I have used in the past because it carries 25% fewer bikes, not because it's flimsy. This makes it a lot easier to install. I'm happy that the rack seems to fit perfectly on our Rivian R1S. The tailgate can open safely without rubbing on the rack. Excellent!

buy it

Have had this rack for a few months and have to drive quite a distance to reach the trails. I absolutely love it! Once bikes are loaded, they do not interact with each other. There is a really smart adjustable feature, where the front wheel sits that allows you to move the wheel holder down or up. This allows you to make sure handle bars and seats to not touch each other. My favorite feature is the expanding hitch design. You can remove nearly all jarring away from the bikes while you carry them. The lock works great, and the rack is light enough for me to add or remove by myself. Overall, Kuat really engineered this one just right with a great price!

Use soap!

I wanted a rack that was easy to load with a small woman’s mountain bike (or cruiser), a kid’s bike, and a regular men’s mountain bike, without removing tires or pinching my fingers in the process. This rack has been great so far! It was pretty easy to put together, but I would recommend rubbing some bar soap on the “arm puck” and the “arm knuckle” to get these two pieces to slide together easily. I’m excited about how easy it will be to travel and camp with our bikes this summer. 5’ tall, 50+ year old woman can put together this rack and load it with ease. Definitely with the money, and worth wait for the member coupon!

Easy get bike on and off

I love this rack. We've taken it all over Kenya and its easy put bikes on and take them off quickly. Its pretty straight forward putting the rack together, but I would recommend watching the video on the Kuat website instead of the instructions. The video has you install the hitch shank assembly in the trailer receiver first which would have made assembly 100 times easier. I ran into one issue that my 2 in receiver hitch pin hole did not line up with the hitch shank hole. I had to have the person who installed the receiver to install a new receiver with the hole drilled to line up properly. I noted other people have had a similar issue.

love this bike rack

Purchased this bike rack to replace a standard style 4 bike rack. The old style was difficult to get the bikes to fit, had to get them lined up just right. This rack is a piece of cake. Love that it doesn’t have the center bars, you can walk right up and load the bikes. Took four bikes from NY to South Carolina with no issues. Very happy with this rack.

Great bike rack

Strong racks that safely holds 3 bikes. We use it to transport bikes for our business and it easily adapts to multiple bikes. We especially like the u-shaped design that makes it easy to load the bike closest to the vehicle

After spending lot of time to find right bike 3 rack for us we ended up with this. Happy with my purchase. Provided with the right set of tools, easy to assemble and very sturdy. It’s better to get this than hanging ones with same price.

Excellent rack, excellent value.

This rack is perfect. Good value, minimal bike movement, no frame contact and tension screw eliminates any wobble in the hitch. Could not be happier with this purchase.

Great item at a reasonable price

Recently purchased the Kuat Transfer v2 3-bike rack. So far, it's worked great. Assembly was pretty easy - and the pics and instructions in the online assembly manual were easy to follow. The rack functions great! I always expect this things to have something that's less than ideal or annoying with them, but that wasn't the case with this one. Every time I put the bikes on or take them off I'm amazed at how easy it is to use. The rack felt secure on the hitch going down the highway, and I wasn't worried at all about the bikes coming loose or falling off. All in all - a well designed quality product!

Worth Every Penny (and I'm cheap)

My kids are on a bike team and I've jealously watched others load their bikes on Kuat, RockyMount, and Velocirax with ease. I had an Amazon rack and while it said it held 4 bikes it really held two mountain bikes. It took about 10 minutes to load and strap down two bikes and still wobbled. Fast forward to the first time I used this Transfer V2... The first bike I loaded onto this rack took 18 seconds exactly. No extra straps needed. It drives like a dream and is really solid at highway speeds, on turns, speed bumps etc. For the combination of Price, Weight, Storage, and Ease of Use, I do not think this rack can be beat. Just bite the bullet and pay the price, it's a fantastic rack. Super solid and easy to use.
