Got Me Cycling Again!
This bike is a life-changer! I've had this bike for 3 weeks and have fallen in love with cycling again. I wasn't sure the model 3 had enough power but I've been up miles of decently steep gravel paths with ease, and without even using the highest assist setting (Turbo). I was a very active cyclist until a medical condition kept me from being able to ride. I needed a bike with the step-through geometry and I wanted one that didn't look like an ebike (didn't want the bulky battery added to the down tube). I should also say that the drop seat post is must-have. It allows me to easily put my foot down at a stop without the risk of losing my balance coming off the saddle. The battery has plenty of power and only needs charging after 60-80 miles. Thank you Cannondale and REI for bringing back an activity I thought I had lost!
Very pleased with this bike
Bought this bike hoping that the upright stance and the curved handlebar would reduce the numbing pressure on my hands as compared to the more bent over stance on a mountain bike. It worked! I can ride a lot farther. I appreciate the steady acceleration when I increase power. Also, on flat terrain I can get more than 65 miles on a charge. Cutting out the motor when on mostly flat terrain I have gotten as much as 125 miles on 20% of charge (at the expense of being the slowest person on the trail). I have about 1900 miles on the bike in just over a year.
SeatAdjustment
Everything seems fine but I can't adjust the seat height. I opened the adjustment nut/lever, the seat comes up but now will not go down at all (except for the spring). My bike shop is baffled but it's too far and I don't have a car to bring it in for them to look. Any suggestions?
I love my Cannondale Adventure Neo 3EQ
I have owned this bike for less than 18 months. I have 5,000 miles on it. Needless to say I ride a lot. I am a taller rider and I have made a few additions to my bicycle. I replaced the handle bars with a riser handle bar to allow my to ride more upright. I am 6'1". I also increased the front chain ring to 42 teeth. I have the original tires, and original chain.
Comfortable and fun, fun, fun!
This is the most comfortable bike I've ever ridden! I purchased it for my 79 year old sister who has started to have difficulty keeping up with her group of much younger friends. She lives in the hills of southeastern Ohio and some rides can be a little challenging, this has been a game changer for her. I tried it out before taking it to her and wanted to keep it for myself! The only problem has been finding a hitch rack that will work for a step through ebike (57 lbs) with fenders, on a vehicle with a spare tire on the rear.
Well made bike, nice REI sales folks, no support
This Canondale bike is well made and working with REI to purchase it was a good process. But it comes with no product specific manuals. I've spent the paste week calling canondale and googling to get this bike working as it is supposed to but between REI and Canondale there isn't much product specific support.
Up, up and away
Super smooth electric pedal interface, great battery life, unexpected accessories like front and rear lights as well as digital tracker. Only complaint is lack of operation manual and lack of seat options
100 miles of sheer delight in 1st Week!
Great bike - stable, easy to ride, step through is very helpful, assist helps go up any hill.
