best shoes ever

My podiatrist recommended Hoka shoes for my plantar fasciitis. Not expecting much of a difference, I went ahead with this pair on sale. They turned out to be the most comfortable shoes I have ever owned. Indeed, my heel and foot felt almost no impact with regular walking. I did not need any support pads for these shoes. The side profile made the shoe look very heavy; but the lightweight material and the deep clefts made the shoe as light as any other sneaker or hiking shoe I have ever owned. Love them. Too bad that when I decided a couple of weeks later to buy another pair, my size sold out.

Not a universally good walker

Other reviews indicate these work well for some walkers, but they are unusually sculpted and are a least favorite shoe ever for this walker. Strongly suggest buying ONLY after testing them in a store.

Phenomenal

I have severe spinal issues, 100 pounds overweight, and this shoe was the best I have ever used in supporting my weight and movement. I was so satisfied that I just bought my second pair. I have tried countless running, or soft bottom shoes and this one helped me feel the most comfortable.

Very Cushy

I was having issues with the bottom of my heal & these were recommended by a friend. Excellent cushioning. I only wish I would have purchased them sooner. Bought 1/2 size larger than I usually wear & they fit perfect.

Nagging flaws IMO

I'd read other reviews mentioning the tongue being mysteriously too short in proportion. I brushed it off and bought them anyway. It seems so minor, but it makes putting them on more difficult every time. Love the cushion and traction, tops. And yes, they're super light for their size. However, the upper itself is a bit uncomfortable, for my foot anyway, and I've never had that sensation over dozens of on and off road shoes.

Best sneakers I've ever owned

I've got weird feet. Kinda wide, heavily pronated, and generally don't feel good walking long distances. These Hoka's are game changers. Most comfortable, stable sneaker I've owned. I balked at the price at first but pulled the trigger after finding them the best fit after trying on a dozen or so shoes. I don't see moving from this model for a long time!

They’ll get the job done

Comfortable shoes with great grip. Pretty heavy and can feel like you’re running on stilts, so watch your ankles on uneven surfaces. These have worked fine for me with light snow and icy roads. The rocker is nice, but I notice after a few miles in the my heal starts slipping. Not sure I would buy again, but they get the job done

Excellent Cushioned Trail Runners

Well-made, well-fitting, and the cushioning is just what I needed. The sole gives good traction on varied eastern terrain but sheds mud and dirt pretty well. I'd buy these again.
