Sizes run small compared to other Chaco styles
These are at least 1/2 size smaller than the other three pairs of Chacos I own. After getting these home and trying them on, they were so small that I had to double check the size. I then tried on my Z/2 pair and they fit normally. It was a bummer to realize that a brand that has fit so consistently over the years, suddenly "downsized" literally. My heel flops over the back of the shoe. I will be returning these. I would recommend purchasing one size larger than you normally wear.
Love these flips
I love my chaco flips. I struggle with flip flops that are flat and don't have any support or substance. I can happily walk a mile (or two or three) in my chaco flips. I trash them at the beach and then wash them off with the hose and wear them as my "house" shoes. I love the white soles. They are super cute. I wear them pretty hard (I don't hike in them, but I also don't tip-toe around. I put miles on my shoes) and the white sole still looks good after a full year. I bought two pairs: the tan & the navy blue. Both in my usual size. I find them true to size and all-around great.
Chaco name on cheap flip flops
After 10 years, my old casual Chacos flipped their last flop and I was excited to replace them with these. Somehow didn't notice (I guess the white REI page background) that these have white soles. The soles are not only weird looking, but seem made of the foamy stuff that keds or cheaper flip flops are made of: not the solid, treaded rubberized soles chacos used to have. Since I've always used my Chacos to hike, I am worried about how these will hold up, let alone look after some time in the dirt. The foamy soles also have a thicker profile than regular Chacos, like old lady orthopedic shoes, so they're harder to walk in without shuffling. As another reviewer said, they run small: even in what is half a size too big for me, my heels are right up against the back, I can't just "slip" them on, and the straps squeeze my feet. I bought a dressier pair of Chaco flip flops at the same time, and they had none of the same problems. Disappointed Chaco is using it's name to sell what are essentially drug store beach flip-flops at a mark up.
Break 'em in
Received these yesterday and have been wearing for short bouts around the house to break them in. They are a little snug at the top of my foot, on the inner area. The snugness/irritation may be from the weight of the flip-flop (due to the support, they're definitely heavier than expected). All this being said, I think after breaking them in I'll be happy with them. But, it's frustrating to have to break in a pair of flip flops.
Very Small and Too Tight
I wear Chaco EVERYTHING -- from the classic Z1 & Z2 to boots to puffy boots -- and has high hopes for these flops. They fit so tightly on the top of my foot and between my toes that I had worn myself raw with 30 minutes of moderate use. They were at least a full size too small. I have normal-width, medium-volume feet, and the flops were a total flop.
AMAZING! Supportive & cute -hard to find
I absolutely love these flip flops. I wear them for everything- short errands to couple mile walks. I have super flat feet so most flip flops hurt my knees and heels but these make everything feel comfortable. They are also super light which is a really difficult thing to get when looking for good support. They also don’t look super dorky which I usually have a problem with in the supportive shoes. They fit really cute. They look sporty but are also easily dressed up
Comfortable
These flip-flops fit perfectly in the Chaco size I wear in other styles, and the firm, shaped foot bed and arch support feel more like wearing Chacos than like wearing ordinary flip-flops.
runs narrow
Runs narrow and has a tight fit for those with wide feet. Returned
Great Chaco basic flip
Great basic black flip with Chaco's great fit and features. I wish REI carried more color choices.
