Highly recommended
I love love love my camp prep table from REI. It’s easy to carry. I think it was 19 pounds and folds up nice feels very sturdy absolute love the idea of being able to adjust a table in short mode. It’s good for when you’re sitting next to it, you can put your plate or your cup or whatever on it and when cooking and prepping having it taller is a nice feature also or if there was an uneven surface, you can definitely accommodate the change to the levels. Super happy with it. The quality is excellent. I can see it lasting through a lot of Camping trips again. REI puts out a quality product as always.
Better than complaints in negative reviews
Seems a little heavy but as spec'd. No complaints as it's very sturdy and there's extra weight with the added capability of adjustable legs. This is a very nice feature of you plan to use on uneven or rocky ground. You don't see this feature on many other tables. Some reviews complain that the adjustable legs are a weakness. They claim it doesn't support much weight and the resort to using the table at it's lowest height... I found the cam mechanism which clamps on the lower section of the leg works well. The cam lever is assembled to the left with a small bolt which can be tightened, if the leg slips.
Great for a Bit
The table worked pretty well. I've used it several times, never any heavy loads and I've never been rough with it. After about a month one hinge on both sides of the table to loose. This makes it so the table can close randomly if bumped hard enough or if I'm on a very uneven surface (which isn't great in the mountains). I can't fix the problem because of instead of using screws it's rivets, so tightening the hinges isn't an option. I'm going to try and get it resolved, but if I can't I'll have to return and go somewhere else. I really want to like this table, but if it doesn't do it's job then it's hard to like.

Seems like a good table but if it can’t stand up to shipping I’ve lost faith
Finally found the perfect table!
I have been looking for a really nice, adjustable leg height camp prep table for a long time. I have a tried a few others and have been disappointed for many reasons. This table has everything I have been looking for! The larger size top than most gives me plenty or room for my Blackstone 22" griddle and still have food prep area. The ease in the leg adjustments is outstanding, allowing me to level the top on uneven ground while camping, which is very important when using my griddle. The height is taller than any other prep table I have seen, making it more comfortable to cook at. I did have two legs that didn't want to hold position, as mentioned in previous reviews. This is easily fixed by slightly tightening the 8mm bolt on the leg latch mechanism. No it is rock solid. Overall a bit heavier and bulkier when folded than I would have liked, but the trade-offs for a well built solid table make this one drawback easy to overlook. One other note, the carton this came in was completely destroyed in shipping, with no internal packing. I was very concerned when I saw it on my porch, but the table itself was still in perfect shape
Could be better, but it serves its purpose.
Looks nice, fair price, but I have a few gripes: - One of my leg clips isn’t tight enough to hold the leg under 5-10 lbs of force on the corner. Clip doesn’t allow for tightening. I gotta just be gentle. - Table comes with a wrap, not a bag. You wrap the top, then fold up the table - kinda awkward. And the sides aren’t protected during travel. Bag would make more sense. - Table snaps into place once it’s fully open, but it never becomes totally flat. There will always be a ridge in the middle, despite lots of pressure. But a few positives: - Leg clamps are like trekking poles, which is nice - Anodized finish is easy to clean, and durable (so far) - Plastic edging seems durable
Finally a table worth the $
This is the second table I bought because the first one is perfect! I got tired of cheap plastic, components that break the first time, and flimsy materials. This table is exactly what I have been looking for to avoid those issues. It's sturdy, but also not too heavy, and really great on uneven ground because each leg independently adjusts. My only (minor) complaint is that the surface area is small, which is why I bought a second one.
Good but with one caveat
Nice, but at first set up and putting a little weight on it one of the legs collapsed. I tightened the cam lock using a 5/16" driver and seems okay now. I had to tighten twice. Be advised not to over tighten. The height adjusting leg cam locks are similar to a trekking pole. But if you think your getting 4 "Lucky" poles attached to a table top, guess again. One single trekking pole often is rated at 300 lbs. I almost returned but probably will try it in the field. It's more sturdy (aside from the cam locks) than a typical plastic table from stuff-mart. Just be sure to add a 5/16" driver to your gear. Could be 8mm but 5/16" seemed fine.
Handy table on the go.
Table is mobile, versatile, easy to use, and stable. Carry case makes table easy to carry from one location to the next. Maybe could be improved with D-rings for shoulder strap option. Set up is a breeze. The eight-year-old in our house was able to take the table from case to complete setup without any guidance from adult or instructions. Adjusting height is easy. The number marks on each leg help ensure equal footing on all legs or a level table on uneven ground. Easy to clean up spills and pack away when finished. We will see how long this table lasts. I fully expect to be around for years to come.
excellent prep table use it by by BBQ
perfect outside prep table. I use it as an extra space for cooking, prepping serving food while I BBQ. The adjustable height table is sturdy and perfect to prep fold or eat at. if you use this for camping make sure you have the space it folds and fits in a carrying canvas. if you are taking with you camping make sure you have room if not you might need a roll too table they take less spade but are not height adjustable and not really as sturdy but will do.
