Definitely NOT tubeless ready.
Horrible. Rims appeared to be taped properly, but discovered that the provided valve leaked at the rim interface. I discovered this AFTER wrestling with installing my tire with a tire insert. Wrrmestled the tire and insert off, scavenged a valve from another wheel, wrestled the insert and tire back on. Pumped it up again, and was shocked to see it was leaking from 2 holes on the non drive side of the rim. They appear to be factory, but there's no air leaking from the spoke holes. What a waste of money and the time and effort prepping it for use.
Cheap and Effective
This is tubeless ready. Easy to install and holds air very well. Just don't puncture the preinstalled tape with your tire levers. If you're not sure how to install a tubeless tire, just watch a youtube video. I've done a mountain biking trip with these in Big Bend Ranch State Park. Not one issue.
Good wheel
Good extra wheel. Tubeless ready and easy to install pair with Maxxis DHF.
