Wonderful Slipper That Works Extremely Well In&Out
I use these Keen Howser II Slippers inside our home and to take the dogs out in the morning and before bed. I recently retired after 37 years of teaching and I am spending more time at home now. They are extremely comfortable and durable. I now own 5 differnt pairs of Keen shoes (sandles, skippers and work shoes). These slippers are so comfortable and supportive that I didn't realize I had them on a couple of times when going to the grocery store. A++++++

Not what the were!
This is my 3rd pair of these Keens and i was disapointed the moment i put my foot in them. My first two pair had a different foot bed that made my feet go AHHHH! This new pair are hard and uncomfortable. So disappointed! The good and bad thing os they last quite a long time and are made quite well. The bad part of that scenario is i have an uncomfortable camp shoe/ house slipper for the next couple years.

Gift for my dad

These shoes are great. I bought myself a pair 7 years ago and have used them to the point where I need to buy another pair. I liked them so much I got my dad some a several years back and they are literally all he wears no matter what he is doing. The pair I am reviewing now is to replace those favorite shoes. One thing I really liked that I wasn't expecting on the shoes I just got him, were the redesigned soles. We really didn't think they could be improved upon but he loves the new ones. He finds them extremely supportive and has already told me a couple of times how much he likes them. He is a tough person to shop for so this speaks volumes.

Finally!

I had an older version of these, in a size slightly too small because I just can't get footwear in a size 14 easily. I bought 13s back then. My own fault I know but I hoped they'd break in. They didn't. The other issue with the older version was it was tight across the top as it had no side elastic pieces. Bring on the new version! Finally slippers I can wear all day. Grippy, comfortable, warm and they don't look like 'old man slippers'. The one thing I'd like to have back are the insoles from the old version. They was thicker and much more comfortable and clearly cost more to make, but to be honest, these are fine and comfortable. All in all, very pleased.

1.5 years later...

I've had my howsers for about 1.5 years now. great arch support - i use orthotics. I think the best way I could describe them to a perspective buyer is -- multiple times -- almost commonly -- i find myself at the neighborhood store, or walking the dog-- and never realized i was leaving the house without changing shoes. It's not that they are so amazingly comfortable they are great for wearing as a shoe, as it is they are so amazingly comfortable you forget about them altogether. Of all the things you have to worry about today -- your feet aren't high on the list. And with that pseudo-abuse -- they have held up great. Love them.

New insole not the same

This is my fourth pair of howsers. Love these slippers. I use them as house slippers and a little outside. They are warm and really hold up. Still have all of the pairs I’ve bought. The reason for three stars is they changed the insoles and they aren’t as comfortable as they used to be. The old insoles had a lot more cushion. I’m 6’2” 240lbs with a size 15 shoe. I’m not rough on my shoes but I do seem to destroy shoe insoles with my size. My original ones still seem to have more cushion on the insoles that are almost completely wore through. But with that said the outsides still hold up to being used everyday for years.

Nice design but runs small

I wanted a house shoe that was durable, did not look like a fuzzy slipper and that I could wear outside to grab the mail or quick trip. This shoe fits the bill. It is light, warm and looks good. The Keen sizing chart said I need a size (16) that was not made. I have 3 other Keen shoes in size 14 that fit well, so I ordered a 14 and it was too small. I re-ordered in a 15 and it fits fine. I am uncertain why shoe companies don't use uniform sizes for all the shoes they make especially when so many of us mail order shoes. Good overall but you may want to find a local store to try them on for correct sizing.

Help, I can't get them off my feet!

I purchased these slip-ons to take the place of some worn Acorn slippers for early morning rising and brief dog walking. I've worn them everywhere three days straight! I love them. Typical keen comfort and quality with the addition of a pair of Keen Utility inserts. I use prescription orthotics with my everyday shoes, including Ecco and Keens, but so far my feet are feeling no pain! Can I think of an excuse for a second pair. I will spray them with some Granger's Performance Repel to to increase their water resistance..just to be sure. I use this on all my Patagonia clothing that requires renewel.

Sturdy and comfy lounging

I don’t know if I’ll ever go back to a normal flimsy house slipper. I love the heavy duty sole and toasty Howser. The only small issue I have with them is the “cinch” on the top to keep your feet snug in the shoe. Crossing your legs on top of each other in maximum lounging position, I find that it can poke and dig into the other foot. This is a small inconvenience to an otherwise awesome product.

Your feet will thank you

I initially bought these because I was tired of going through traditional slippers at a cyclic rate. First impressions are they are warm, cushioned for all day wear, and a little tight in the arch. After a couple of weeks that loosened up just enough and the tightness is no longer an issue. They are my go to house shoe. I wear them while doing work around the house or cooking Thanksgiving dinner and my feet thank me for it. They are the first thing I put on when getting out bed in the morning or when I get home from work. I will never wear anything else again. Lastly they are true to size
