Quality is amazingly...poor
These shoes were super cute. I could forgive the stiffness during the break-in period, which thankfully was relatively short (couple days). I could forgive my heel slipping out, which thankfully stopped after they were broken in. I could forgive the laces being extremely difficult to pull through each eyelet. If there were odor issues, which there weren't, I would have found a way to forgive and deal with that. But what I cannot forgive is that the soles started separating after wearing about 6 times. I have never experienced anything like this--I weigh 100 lbs. sopping wet, and am not hard on my shoes.
The most smelly shoes I've ever worn!
I looked for these shoes all over in multiple cities, loved the look, and liked the sustainability aspect of these shoes, but was so disappointed with them. First of, they are not safe, they have no traction whatsoever. Each time I wore these shoes I fell at least once-twice. They're a liability. #2 - they are not breathable, other sneakers have little holes around to air out, these DO NOT, making your feet sweat nonstop resulting in an overbearing foul smell. Never seen anything like this. Not sure if is due to the vegan leather or what but please do yourself and people around you a favor and stay away from them!
Love the look, wear poorly
I love the way these shoes look, and didn't find any problems with the tongue (as other reviewers have mentioned) after the first 1-2 wears. I've had my shoes for about a year now of average wear, and I will say that they are completely worn through. The bottom sole is almost completely down to nothing, and the shoes look insanely crumpled and worn. They are way way more destroyed looking than any other pair of sneakers I've had with the same amount of usage. I know that they're white, but I have periodically cleaned and conditioned them. That also doesn't account for the fact that the sole is basically threadbare at this point. They honestly look like a pair of shoes someone has had in a closet for decades. For sneakers this expensive I would've expected much better quality.
Uncomfortable, with odd problems
Unfortunately, these shoes require numerous internet searches on "how to break them in," and "why is the tongue overly long and what to do about it?" and "why don't they fit right?" Some people have apparently been able to manipulate the leather or slide the tongue to the side or tuck it under (?) or exchange them for a different size, but seriously?! That's a lot of work for a pair of shoes. I don't think mine will ever fit right, and just a few minutes of wear in the house rubbed my ankles raw. Sure, they are cute, and stylish, but I, for one, am not willing to sacrifice comfort for that. Especially because I need a comfortable shoe for walking and travel. Celebs who wear these must have gotten them for free and were romanced by the sustainability or something. Returning them ASAP.
DO NOT BUY
I bought this pair of sneakers less than 6 months ago and the bottom of the sole has split from the side making these completely unwearable. Got stuck in some rain for not even 5 minutes and the inside was completely soaked because of the split. Veja as a brand said thats "normal wear and tear" after FIVE MONTHS! Absolutely not worth the money - I've had much cheaper pairs of sneaker last far longer.
Wanted To Love
I wanted to love these but they were definitely a size too large for me, too wide for my foot and felt a bit clunkier than they look. Decided to return them but would try on other styles if I saw them in a store.
Great shoes! Can’t relate to negative reviews.
These shoes are great! I think they’re stylish and low profile. I think they’re comfortable too. I wear mine a little loose, so I don’t have any problems with the tongue whatsoever. It’s never crossed my mind as an issue. The soles are good and I don’t think they’re slick. These are real leather shoes too, so I don’t have any issues with smelly shoes. If you have issues with that, I suggest washing your feet more.
Not for narrow feet
These are not for feet on the narrower side. Entire heel kept popping off as the shoe is very wide. Tightening the laces did not work to keep the heel in place, and had the effect of making the show incredibly uncomfortable since it is so stiff.
Best shoes ever once broken in
I bought these last year and at first they were the most uncomfortable shoes I've ever worn. However, everyone wears them so I decided to try and stick through it. They didn't take but a couple of airports to break in and then ended up being more comfortable than my favorite Vans. I have probably put 500+ miles on these shoes and am now buying my second pair.
Stylish trainers for multiple use
I bought these trainers for general wear. They are really comfy apart from the tongue sticks in my foot. I'm hoping after a few times of wearing these that it softens up. They look really nice on and go with so many different outfits.
