Great beginner shoes. I bought these two years ago—the first year I didn’t climb very often, maybe every other month with my partner on a guest pass. The second year, I began climbing more consistently with 1-2x a week. The shoes have held up pretty well as I climbed from V0-V3’s. I went half a size up because I don’t enjoy the pinchy feeling from tight climbing shoes and I have slightly wide feet due to bunions. I’m able to comfortably wear socks with them (personal choice, don’t like feeling foot sweat in my shoes) and they fit just right. These will be my everyday climb shoes even as I get more aggressive climb shoes, which I am due for soon.
Amazing beginners shoe for bouldering or roped climbing , do seem to run quite small so if a total beginner I’d recommend wearing a size up , I’m normally an 11 in street shoe / trainers and ended up in a 12 in these and they fit superb. They offer great comfort for all day sends one thing is I seem to be wearing through on the very tip of the toes wear the sole joins the upper but still plenty of life left in them , and if your sending really advanced climbs you may want to choose a more stiff shoe but these are perfect for beginners or weekend warriors would defo recommend
I bought this shoe as my first step away from rental shoes and have absolutely loved them. I purchased a size 9 (same as my street shoe size) and they have been extremely comfortable and fit perfectly from day one. Other reviews have mentioned sizing these up slightly but that hasn't been my experience. The durability on them has also been a massive benefit too. When I was first starting my foot placement was a little messy and I tended to scrape the wall, these were able to handle that no problem. After more than a year and a half of use multiple times a week the front toe is starting to wear down but I will definitely be replacing them with another five ten shoe.
I ordered a Men's size 12 for my son. When they arrived, they appeared to be too small so I verified the size on the box and labels in the shoes. All stated Men's 12. I wear a Men's size 9.5 and they are too small for me. So, these shoes are at least three sizes smaller than advertised!
Shoe was very handsome but it was too narrow and too tight I went 11 1/2 and it’s it says it’s an 11 1/2 but it’s very very tight I believe I need a 12 so I have to return this product to get a larger size unfortunately
They’re okay. I got them as a Christmas gift when I was home, and made them my gym shoe. I didn’t climb in them until early February. So about a month of climbing (gym only) about 2/3 times a week. Rubber on the toe is coming apart and starting the separate from the shoe. I don’t baby my shoes, and I heel and toe hook enough that this is unacceptable. I ordered a 10 from my 10.5 street like I do all my climbing shoes. It felt good in the toe and heel for a performance fit, but around the ankle was a lot of space. Even when tightened I could slide my fingers in the gap. I had to warranty them because standing on chips with these is an accident waiting to happen. These are probably suited better for trad climbing as they are comfy, but if you do a lot of technical bouldering/slab climbing probably look elsewhere. I give them 3 stars because I think these are a solid first/second shoe that is affordable and stylish. They were also a gift from someone special so I’m already attached to them. Hopefully the return pair is more durable and these are a one off, but the bad toe box is concerning.
The shoes itself is good so far. As far as sizing, I did order a size up after reading reviews, usually a women’s 7 for regular workout shoes and ordered a women’s 8 for these. When I got it it did still feel a bit small & tight but as it’s my first time purchasing rock climbing shoes and I’m not sure how tight they’re supposed to be but I’m hoping once I break it in a few times it will be a little more comfortable. Used it once so far and my toes started to get sore after 30min so I had to loosen the shoes open when not climbing.
I bought size 9, my regular shoe size is 8.5+. Kirigami is very comfortable, but it will quickly stretch at least 0.5 size. I should have bought my regular shoe size and suffer the first couple of hours. The rubber wears down very fast. I climbed indoors for less than 100 hours, and part of the sole under the big toe is completely worn out on both shoes. I owned the older version of this shoe, Five Ten Coyote VCS, and it lasted much longer.
I'm a new climber and these shoes are a great upgrade from the gym's rentals. The sole is stiffer and stickier and it provides much better purchase on the holds. I wear a 9 or 9.5 in most shoes. I ordered a 9.5 at first and it was so tight that it was painful, so I exchanged for a 10 and it has the right "very tight but not unbearable" feel that they say you should have in a climbing shoe. So far it's just what I was hoping for!
great beginner shoe for climbing. comfortable to wear the entire session. Go as small as you can on size because when it expands there will be loads of space in the shoe which makes it harder for edging. the velcro can feel abit loose. ive used this for 6 months of climbing (going every other day) before holes started forming at the toe, the wear on the shoe can vary based on how you climb though.
