Measurements are stated in inches unless otherwise indicated. Size chart values represent body measurements, not garment measurements. Some women's pants are available in petite and tall sizes. Typically petite sizes fit women 4'11" to 5'3". Regular sizes fit women 5'4" to 5'8". Tall sizes fit women 5'9" to 5'11".
PETITE: Generally, as compared to regular sizes, petite sizes are 2.5 inches shorter in inseam, 1 inch shorter in body length, 1.25 inches shorter in sleeve length and ¾ inch shorter in total rise.
TALL: tall sizes are 3 inches longer in inseam, 2 inches longer in body length, 2.5 inches longer in sleeve length and 1.25 inches longer in total rise.
Capri or cropped pants have an intentionally shorter inseam—reference the technical specs instead of this chart.
Inseam is measured to the floor.

I think this jacket could actually fit a lot of different-sized people. I am 5'3" and 165 pounds so I usually end up with a cheap, bulky ski jacket as 'athletic-brand' jackets don't fit and snowboarding shells are not warm enough. With this one, I ordered the x-large to give me room for a sweater, etc. It seems to be true to size and is a loose cut around the waist. It has a nice snow-band that snaps around the hips to keep the cold/snow out. The sleeves are a little long for me, but the velcro closures allow for cinching around the wrist or over gloves. The jacket moves well with you, is very warm and not bulky at all! I haven't tried the waterproofing ability out yet but you can't tell its on there at all. A new design is in the hood. It fits over a ski helmet, but has a cinching ability in the back that 'grips' your head for when you don't have a helmet on yet need that protection from the elements. It also has the standard side-tighteners for around the face and zips up around your chin. A small brim at the top keeps rain/snow off your face. Seemed a little low over the eyes when I tightened everything down, but then I didn't have snow blowing in my face at the time. There are arm-pit zippers for extra cooling that would be great for cross-country skiing and a pocket on the left sleeve for a ski-pass or quick-access items. This seems like a great all-round jacket that will cover a lot of uses from snow sports (because it allows for a lot of moving) to heading to the store in cold, slushy weather( because it's waterproof and warm without being bulky). The only drawback that I see is the color options. I have the mushroom, but its really just a dusty rose. Being in my later years, I tend to associate this color with old ladies so not sure I want to advertise that I'm getting there. If this jacket were offered in more color options or patterns, I would have given it 5 stars.
This coat has the features I like in a ski coat. First of all, lots of pockets. There are 2 inside pockets, one is zippered and one is a large pouch (perfect for a snack or goggles). One of the front pockets has a latch for keys and there's a zippered sleeve pocket for essentials. The front zipper and wrists have velcro flaps to keep the snow out and adjust over gloves. When the zipper is closed there is a small soft fleece area around the chin -nice touch! The coat has a powder skirt with elastic on the back so it stays put. The hood is adjustable on the sides and in the back so it will fit snugly on windy days and it's large enough to fit over a ski helmet. There are underarm vents for those warmer afternoons and hard treks uphill. The one thing is doesn't have is a 2-way zipper for easy sitting on the chairlift or long strides in cross-country. But the bottom is wide enough to compensate for the lack of a 2-way zipper. The fit is good for all types of skiing. Overall, I highy recommend this coat for skiing. I like to be warm so I would wear it for cross-country as well as downhill. As mentioned, the pockets are perfect!
I believe there are two types of people when it comes to winter ski/snowboard jackets. Those who like insulation and those who prefer to layer more and have a thin shell jacket. This jacket is lightly insulated but yet roomy enough to layer underneath. I appreciate the pockets and vents, especially the inside ones, and the powder skirt isn't uncomfortable when not in use. The hood is a little small to fit over my helmet comfortably (It covers my helmet but I can't turn my head all the way) but I probably won't wear my hood and helmet at the same time anyways. The width at the bottom of the jacket was the only thing that felt a little off for me. I am 5'3" 135lbs with an atheltic build and I have a small. I don't have itty bitty legs and booty but this jacket flared out at the bottom hem, even with ski pants on. To cinche it would look weird, so if I were to wear this as a casual insulated winter jacket, it would loook too big. The comfort and feel of this jacket is light and smooth. I love the light purple color.
I am a more "active" skier (that is, someone who does a mix of both back/side country and downhill), so what I look for in a ski jacket is a little bit of everything, with a high emphasis on ventilation and breathability. That said, I think this jacket does a great job at being the hybrid that I look for. I love that it lacks the bulk of most ski jackets and yet still has enough insulation to add warmth. This also means that it's lightweight enough for me to add layers to customize it to the temperature I need. The pit zips are a crucial feature that enable me to have more ventilation when it gets too warm. I also love the extra lower-arm pocket, which is great for a lift pass or anything else I need quick access to. Love this jacket!
This is exactly the new snow jacket I wanted for skiing and being out in the snow or freezing rain. I've had it for 2 seasons now and it's a great layer. When skiing in Colorado on 25 degree or below days, I am wearing a down layer under to keep warm. When it's 30 degrees and above, I'm wearing a light wool or fleece layer under. The regular sizing is slightly oversized, so it's already the right size for layering. The thing I really appreciate is the water and wind that it keeps out on the toughest of days. I love buying REI branded gear as they're at a more reasonable price but as high quality as the best of brands.
I unexpectedly wound up needing rescue and was caught on a windy cold ridge late into the night/early morning as temperatures dropped to 20 degrees without wind. I was stationary for about 4 hours and my core remained warm. Talk about field tested! I'm very thankful I had this jacket in my moment of need.
I was hoping to love this jacket more than I did. I bought it for snowboarding and while it was stylish and did keep me warm all day, the wind cut through it a bit, the helmet hood unfortunately didn’t fit over my helmet and let a lot of snow in. I decided to return this.
This jacket says it is waterproof, but the first day on the slopes and the arms are all damp inside and the body has many areas where you can see the water starting to seap in. It was snowing, but not raining. The jacket could not hold up to the weather. Otherwise, it is a cute jacket that fits well, but waterproof was the main selling feature.
Great jacket for the price. Good as a basic ski jacket. If you have hips size up. I am a medium size 8/10 and I needed a large for my hips especially over ski pants.
I just recently bought this jacket for skiing and I was impressed by everyone else’s great reviews however when I saw it in person I was a little nervous with how thin it appeared. However, I tried it out this weekend and only had a light sweatshirt/ under layer on with the jacket and I stayed warm and dry the entire day!! The multiple different zippers were a live saver as well.
