Good Improvement

I have had a couple of these Park Tool chain scrubbers over the years and they have done a great job of cleaning the chain. However, they have all cracked and broken at both ends where the chain enters and exits the device. I think this had been due to the the metal clips that they previously used to hold the top and bottom of the tool together during the cleaning process. The "new" clips that are on this tool seem to be a much better design. Only time will tell, but they are a much better set up. Tip: I use Extreme Simple Green Aircraft & Precision Cleaner in this tool at about a 3 parts water to 1 part cleaner - does a great job.

Works Until It Doesn’t

Great product that does what it’s supposed to until it falls apart and becomes useless. Within a short time, the plastic near the metal latches broke apart as well as the bottom part with the magnet. I superglued everything back together but that only worked for a short time before it all crumbled apart. I maybe got a year out of it before I had to toss it in the trash

Brings a Chain Back to Life

I've used this twice now, the first time without reading any of the instructions and a second time after watching the Park Tools video. The first time it worked better then what I would be able to do on my own but didn't clean as well as I'd heard it was meant to. I watched the Park Tools video (which I recommend watching just so you can see how they intended it to be used) and my chain looks like it did when I first bought my bike. Highly recommend this overall if you are someone who puts a lot of miles on your bike or ride in less then ideal conditions.

Like a bidet, but for your bike!

a clean chain is so important, and with most brushes, no matter how much I wipe, or at what angle, there's still little flecks of crud in the crevices of the chain. not anymore. with the park tool cyclone my chain is cleaner than it's ever been, and fresh as a daisy. it brings a new confidence to my bike rides, that only a crud free chain can deliver.

Cleans great but so fragile

This product does a great job to clean the chain but it is so fragile. I used it maybe 15 times over 4 months to clean the chain on my mountain bike. Today I was noticed excessive water dripping out of the chain entrance side. I took a closer look and the plastic had cracked from the screw on the metal clasp, all the way down to the foot. I read the reviews about the product cracking and assumed it wouldn't happen to me but here I am :/

Let It Do the Work

This tool worked as advertised and despite the long period of time between cleaning, at least 2 years, my chain looks like new.

Good while it works, but plastic is crumbling

It worked well, relatively easy to use, and cleans well. But the plastic broke in multiple places, even with my light usage. All the plastic around the metal clamps has crumbled, as well as bottom holder, and a few internal pieces. Good design, but very poor quality for the price.

Great tool, poor assembly

The Park chain scrubber cleans the chain quite well but both pins holding the keeper springs on the top of the tool fell out. At first it was an inconvenience but once the second pin fell out it became a royal pain to use. Seems like the quality control that day was not up to the usual Park Tool standard.

Great except for the metal clips

Great concept and product, totally worth it. My only complaint is that the pins that hold the metal clips that hold the device closed fall out and get lost easily. However, the top and bottom halves stay together tightly enough that they won't spill as long as you hold it together with your hand.
