Stan's NoTubes DART (Dual Action Repair for Tubeless) Tool
Fix damaged tires faster, easier and better than other plug tools with the Stan's No Tubes DART (Dual Action Repair for Tubeless) tool. It repairs both large punctures and slices.
- Creates a chemical reaction with your Stan's sealant (not included) to quickly form a permanent, airtight bond
- Plastic tip is barbed to anchor firmly in place and stay put during even the most aggressive riding
- Lightweight, compact tool fits the shape of your hand for precise use and goes easy on rims and rim tape
- Flexible material and laser-cut shape are optimized to contour to the shape of different punctures, maximizing surface area to increase the sealing reaction
- Anchors to your tire and creates an instant bond with sealant so it won't pull out while riding the way a conventional plug can
- Doesn't require trimming once inserted; excess material wears off smoothly, won't get in the way of your ride and can't be felt while riding—even with road tires
- Clear cap keeps the DART tool clean and unthreads quickly for fast deployment
- Simple and easy to refill
- Includes a built-in valve core remover and 2 preloaded DARTs for sealing multiple and larger punctures

Original Dart Design Changed
Stans didn't inform anyone when they changed the design of the darts themselves. They used to have several strips of cloth perforated along the endges to create binding of the sealant with the tire for small cuts. The new darts are a single piece of cloth cut like a starfish and all the reviews citing it doesn't fill small holes or the tip breaks off fairly often when making repairs is true. Contacted Stans and they mailed some lube and a pack of the inferior new design darts. When they failed to seal a hole from a thorn and we sent them a video communication stopped. I'd guess the single piece of cloth cut as a starfish is cheaper ? But I can't understand the savings if users run from your product.
Stan's DART: Doesn't Actually Remedy the Tire
after a few road rides with a repeated leak from the same cut in my rear tire, I figured it was time to fix this with the Stan's DART. So in the comfort of my garage I gave this thing a go and right away the white plastic tip on the end of the dart meant to aid in the insertion of the plug fabric breaks off. the black plastic shaft could be used to do the job except it's rips through the plug fabric too easily. this scenario happened to me twice, thankfully at home and not out on the road. I will 100% avoid this tool going forward. besides not working well, the physical design and shape of the dual dart system doesn't fit well in a kit because of the large black plastic flange in the middle of the holder.
Fails when you need it
When I first bought it I used it immediately and it worked. Then it accompanied my many adventures waiting to help me out of a dire situation, and when that time came, the darts broke. Both darts that the tool carries broke while inserting into the tire. Bacon strips don't break, so I have returned to relying on them. It doesn't make sense to buy these darts when they can so easily fail.
Not happy
Promised as a practical and easy to carry fix for tubeless, it failed on all three occasions I needed it. Very fragile and does not work for small or large punctures. It sits now in a parts bin and I am using the trusted bacon strips.
Failure x2
Fell apart and did not provide seal. Do not rely on these . The plastic separated from the material x2. Completely worthless and a waste of money.
Promising Idea -- Didn't Work
Tried fixing a good size hole only to have the plastic tip break off and the fabric part come back out. Made sure I was using it properly and tried the second dart -- same problem. High price for still having a flat tire.
Still holding after two years
OK, so I used this product a long time ago, about two years, and it is still holding PERFECTLY. The puncture was on the sidewall, and it is doing great. The tire was brand new when we patched it, and I'm about to retire it due to wear. We also used the Darts to patch a leak in a fat tire, and that rider said that the Dart worked great for the life of the tire. That said, these other reviews seem pretty serious, and I actually carry a different plug system now. But after a LOT of use, my patches are still holding.
Doesn’t work
Still new to tubeless so I thought I was doing something wrong. The feathered portion that supposed to stay in the hole did NOT stay in the hole. Tried to plug the tire x2 and neither worked. Clearly they need to go back to the drawing board. After reading other reviews there is clearly a design flaw.
Part of my EDC
Used these on two separate instances for fellow riders with MTB flats. First one sealed a sidewall hole next to the rim. Second sealed a gash in the tread. Both tires used Stan's sealant; not sure it they would work as intended with other sealants.
does not work
Tried to plug a small puncture. The end of the plug broke off and made the hole bigger. Going back to bacon strips with a metal point
