Flattering fit for someone with larger thighs. Dries quickly and suitable for many activities. So far I’ve biked, hiked and kayaked in these and they’ve been comfortable and allow for lots of movement. My main issue is with the built in belt. It doesn’t seem to do much and gets caught on the part of the waistband that it goes into (see photos). This has led to fraying and I’m not sure how long these shorts will last. I will prob have to reinforce the fraying stitching. I also with the pockets we’re bigger. Can’t really put a smartphone in them with confidence.

These shorts are great and super comfy. I would say the size chart is a little off and I would size up if you are not sure. Im a size 27 but on the curvy side. According to the chart, I would be a small but I can barely get the medium on. Once they are on, they fit great and I have to tighten the belt on my waist. The belt band just does not extend long enough to get the shorts over my thighs and butt easily. If you have small legs and butt, get your normal size and you’ll love them. If you’re on the curvy side like me, these are still great shorts just go up a size or two.

I’ve read mixed reviews BUT: if you have a small waist and a booty then these shorts are PERFECT. The adjustable strap let’s you put them on your actual waist controlling how far down the leg the shorts go. I WISH we could share photos? I’m on the app so maybe that’s the issue. I’m 5’4” 140lbs muscular / curvy 35-27-40 relaxed. I’m a size S in these. Normally anywhere from a 2-6 depending on how forgiving the fabric is, lol. Just bought the darker blue & a second black in case I ruin the first pair!

These are sooo soft, dry quickly and offer a great fit! To be honest, I only bought them because I was drawn to the color ( S/o Folsom REI for their cute mannequin who convinced me the buy the whole fit) but I’m glad I got them! I had a curvy butt and thick thighs and was worried they would offer no room, but they are try to size! I love the built in belt. I would highly recommend. Curvy gals don’t shy away. It’s hot girl summer!

Love these shorts they were recommended to me by a friend. They are true to size and the cut is very flattering. The only qualm I have is with the product description of these shorts. I got the black ones and there was no zippered back pocket. Just an important heads up to REI and anyone interested in buying. Other than that the shorts are great!

I usually wear a size 14 or 32 in pants, so I ordered the XL, but they were laughably tight. Even after sizing up to an XXL, they still lack the drapey look that the smaller models have. They are cute though, and I'm excited to not be stuck in damp bottoms after swimming.

Love these shorts! So versatile, can be used for swimming or for hiking or just going out. I do wish they had some kind of liner though since you can use them for swimming.

I love these shorts and feel like they hold up well in the pool and are perfect for being out and about. My only complaint is that when I swim around or get out of the water, the pockets completely fill up with water like a parachute; I wish they were more on the inside of the pants so that this didn’t happen.

Not super inclusive with plus sizing. I should have measured myself again because I am usually a 1X but according to these sizes I need a 3X

These are fantastic shorts for over your swimsuit. Perfect for more coverage while walking around beachcombing and grabbing a drink and lunch at a beach side bar. They dry super quick post jet ski/kayaking. I’ve had a pair for a year and they wash up great and look fantastic, grabbed another pair this year. I’m 5’4” wear a 14/16 and the XL fit perfectly.
