Best chain i ever bought

The chain makes my bike complete. I should have replaced my chain with this recommended one earlier than I did. Metal, precision machining - a true biking juggernaut. Its cogs mesh with the gears in a way similar to the great works of Roman art - strong and everlastling. A chain for the ages.

Works great!

This chain comes with a quick link. I had a lot of difficulty getting it in at first but I found a YouTube video with a great comment that gave me the trick to get it on. Get the quick link onto the left chain by itself. Now align the right chain piece with the right of the link. Use both hands, pushing with thumbs on the quick link and bend the chain (don’t worry about being gentle) to bring the links closer together and it’ll pop on.

Perfectly Easy

Installs by hand, no tools needed. It took a few minutes to perform a chain replacement, and instantly improved the function of a 30 year old MTB.

Install on old 7-3 mountain bike

Bought this chain to replace an old worn out one on my 7-3 mountain bike. Easy install with the chain tool. Quiet and good performance out of the box.

New bicycle chain

My old bicycle chain was showing wear and was time to have it replaced and what a big difference it made seemingly making my bike a lot easier to pedal. Felt like it gave me more power.

Hard to install quick link dropped my rating

Once on, it shifted fine ,and worked as expected. IFrom Shimano, I trusted it to be of good quality. It was inexpensive, and that's what I wanted for a recently purchased used "beater' bike. In the past I had stayed away from Shimano chains because, until 2117 they did not come with a quick link. When I saw the chain in the store at a price I wanted, coming with a supplied quick link I bought it. Trouble was, the quick link is a design like I had never used before, and Installation was a big pain. Next time I will go back to Sram or KMC.

Replacement bike chain for new bike

My new REI Co-op bike, when I brought it into the 'check-up' after 2 months with about 500-600 miles, I was informed that I needed a new chain. No reflection on the new chain, but on the old one. The new Shimano chain has worked well, but it is too early to tell if it will need to be replaced in 500 miles.
