Good quality but not as cushiony as I'd hoped
I am picky about shoes as I have very flat feet and walk a lot. New Balance brand has worked for me in the past so I was happy to see these on sale at the REI store--and the color combos are cute. I had to go up a half size from my normal in this shoe, and also used all the holes at the top for the laces to keep them snug on my ankles. The quality at first glance looks up to New Balance standard but unfortunately the toe area is not as padded as I'd hoped. I will keep them and get good use of them, but was a bit disappointed.
Very low - felt like I would roll ankle
Tried out the pink/creme ones. Was hoping for some around the town shoes but these are very low so that I felt like my feet were kind of falling out of them, and didn't want to roll an ankle.
not true to size; good for walks
These felt good as soon as I put them on. I walked 4-5 miles this morning along a River — I walked on sand, packed dirt trail, gravel, and asphalt and these shoes were comfortable; good heel padding. I had to go up a size in this shoe — my toes hit the end in the true size and half size up. I have narrow feet and am able to lace these up so they hug my feet.
Retro Fresh New Balance
Classic stylings, modern materials and colorways. Purchased for my daughter and she loves them.
Super comfortable, super ugly pink color
They'd get 5 stars if they looked good. These are really comfortable but I am genuinely shocked at how horrible the pink color clashes with the entire rest of the shoe. I'm getting them stained because they are really comfortable and I want to keep them. If it doesn't turn out well I guess I can just wear them at night when I take the dog for a walk *shrug*.
Excellent shoe
Very Comfortable but started speaking soon after I used them and still do, phoned the company and the guy said he would e mail me what I could do but never heard so just put up with the squeaking, a bit annoying in otherwise a very good shoe, laces not easy to undo if you have arthritis in your fingers! They do grip well so do not come undone. Needed half size larger.
Bottom sole came off
I purchased these New Balance pair last year and used only few times (5/6 times for short walks in city, no hike, running) and the shoe sole came off. I used a shoe glue but it really didnot work. Will appreciate any help as these shoes look new but unable to wear them. Thanks! PS: am a big fan of New Balance but this was bad luck!
Not the New Balance Quality
I bought these on sale for a good price but the make and materials were not as good as I expect from NB. Not much of an arch and sole is stiff and flat near the front. Not sure what the materials are.
Ok for an on-sale purchase
For an on sale shoe I bought online I’m happy with the product. They aren’t ultra comfy but they are better than Vans if you are going to be walking a couple of miles to work or school
Lovely shoes
Really loved the design they were comfy inside just too small for my feet Hasent put me off buying other trainers just have to try and get a slightly bigger size .
