Fragile clips break easily

They are using the same clips as the old model which break pretty easily. This was the primary complaint on the previous model and one would have hoped they would have read the reviews before putting out a new product. If you plan to tour with these be sure to buy replacement clips ahead of time or bring extra bungee cords to strap the panniers to the rack after the clips break
