Decent minimal commuter pack
Received free product
This pack rides well when it's not overloaded; the chest and waist straps keep it in place, and it wraps over my shoulders and back well. But it starts becoming uncomfortable on my back with too much weight; a lock, 11" laptop, full water bottle, change of clothes, notebook, and some snacks starts feeling like too much. At that point, it's nice to throw it into a pannier and have it available for walking around, though it's a little tall even for my fairly large pannier. In general, it feels larger than I want a commuter pack to be; there's 4-5" of dead space at the top of the pack, which I suspect would still be too much even with a full-sized laptop in there. The waterproofing cover does well in light rain, but I found myself wishing for more reflectivity, both on the pack itself as well as the cover. Also, my water bottle had a tendency to creep out of the open side pouch, especially when leaning forward aggressively, so I used the compression strap through the loop on my bottle to keep it from escaping.

Too Small for Realistic Bike Commuting
I purchased this bag online and was very surprised how small it was. Once you put all your items for a typical office bike commute there is no room. Laptop, shoes, office clothing, packed lunch. I would suggest increasing the size to at least 35L for bike commuting. The price for the bag is overpriced considering its small size. The bag is likely tailored for day hikes/walking to work only and not for bike commuting, despite the name "Commuter Pack"

Perfect for Travel

Although this backpack is designed for cycling, I purchased this for its large main compartment, minimal exterior pockets, clamshell design, and reduced size. Because it can completely open, items do not get lost in the bag, making it is easy to organize and fully pack. Even when fully packed, the exterior dimensions fit under an airplane seat, ideal for travel. It is lightweight and versatile, so I often loosened one strap while walking to wear crossbody. After 3 weeks of heavy use international use, there’s hardly anything I would change. It’s appropriate price tag makes this bag highly recommended.

pros and cons

Used this for commuting for about a year now with both walking and biking. Overall good bag for me. Pros: Perfect size, outer pocket fits a u lock perfectly, comes with a fly, multiple zipper pockets for storage, full clam shell unzip option, and I like the one side pocket zipper where most bags would add a second water bottle pouch. Cons: main handle starts to fray/rips off easily and really should be more durable, missing other grab points, logo lettering will peel, not many areas to attach gear to outside/would love some gear loops, on par with normal rei materials (not the best not the worst), color is just ok I don’t mind it but other brands like north face offer way better options.

Good for commuting every way!

Received free product

Compact backpack for bike commuting. It looks and is small, but easily fits computer and notebook, water bottle, toiletries, and clothes. Side pocket for bottle and zipper pouch on the other side for snacks. One inside pocket and one outside pocket for little things. Loop on the outside of the pack to attach your helmet. The best part is a nifty raincover for inclement weather - genius detail! The pack and padding also were excellent for walk commuting and work travel. Easily carried large headphones, snacks, travel pillow, water bottle, wipes, and fit under the seat on airplane.

One of my favorite pieces of gear!

I use this mainly for travel but it excels in multiple areas such as day hiking and commuting around town. It's the perfect size for a personal item and I've taken it overseas on multiple trips. On my last trip to the UK I fit 6 days of clothes plus all toiletries and 13in laptop in the bag (note that I am a light packer). My favorite thing is that it folds open like a suitcase for easy access to the contents. After several years of use, I can confidently say it's one of my favorite pieces of gear i've ever owned. At less than $100, I highly recommend.

Handle becomes easily damaged.

After a week of light usage (carrying around ~15 pounds of items to and from work), the handle began to tear and detach from the backpack. I am no longer able to pick up the backpack from its handle.

Strong start, but fell apart unexpectedly

Bought this bag for school last year and was please with it initially. Im not rough with it, nor do i overload it with much weight. Just over a year later the top handle tore right off. This isnt exactly a low cost bag, so its pretty disappointing how short a time it remained intact

Perfect flight bag

I bought this bag a couple of years ago to use as my primary flight bag and I have to say I am very pleased with how it’s held up so far! It fits everything I need during flight lessons and can even fit my headset when I need to store it during travel. I have also used this bag as my carry on for weekend trips and it fits a weekend’s worth of clothes, snack, and toiletries perfectly with no problem. The only problem I have with this bag is that after a while the back begins to bend and will never really go back to being flat against your back. Regardless, I really love the bag and it will be hard to find a replacement if I ever need one!

Great All-Around Backpack

I bike commute to work 5 days a week riding 13 miles one way. It’s very comfortable in the back and breathable. Sweat dries up pretty quick. I also recently travelled halfway around the world and was able to pack a week worth of clothes in there. Very spacious and can fit under the plane seat. Took it to do some hiking and it doesn’t strain your shoulders nor your back. If you want quality, comfort, versatility and reasonable price, this is the backpack for you.

Great Bicycle Commute Pack

For my size (5’7” - 165 lbs), nice fit, roomy. I use it to bicycle to work 15 miles each way, the 3 days I am required to work at my office outside my home. Besides my 2 extra tubes, pump, and basic bike tools, I easily carry a change of clothes to wear after I shower at work. I often food for 2-3 days of breakfast and lunch. I also transport 2-4 paper files from the office to work at home the other days. This pack has more than adequate room for all the previous. The multiple cinching straps are useful and convenient.
