Solid trekking poles
Strong, reliable trekking poles. I use mine for trekking and backcountry skiing. They're not the absolute lightest or the very latest model, but they're stable and durable. Six years ago I bent one when I jammed it sideways between two trees. I was able to bend the pole back so it collapses fully, and I've had no issues with it since. I particularly like the extended grips which make it easy to vary your hand placement when the trail alternates little ups and downs. The flicklock levers work great with gloves, and you can adjust the lock tightness screw with a fingernail. Bottom line: I won't be replacing these until they break, and who knows when that will be!
Great feel and very tough
I bought these for a 7 day 70 mile backpacking trip. A few others brought cheaper poles and by the end of our trip they broke a total of 3 poles, but these were still in tip top shape. I am a bigger guy (6’2” 250) and I never had them loose height. Very good.
Made downhills way easier on my knees
These were my first set of trekking poles. Hiked Observation Point in Zion and these saved my knees on the descent. There is a little vibration with them that was annoying at first but then I didn’t even notice it after a while. They travel well and I was easily able to get them in my suitcase (although I did check a bag so it was a large suitcase.) They did well for 4 days of moderate hiking and don’t show any signs of wear. Will be taking these hiking with me everywhere now. Definitely not the fanciest or most expensive, but for a new hiker like me, they were perfect.
Hiking poles
I bought these to replace some old Silvas that stopped working. They collapse to a short length that fits easily on my pack. Quick to adjust (short for uphill long for downhill). In nine days one slipped to a shorter position once, when my full weight came down on it. The slip may have prevented it from bending.
Keep trekking
Nice poles: comfortable, thin and light. Grips feel good. Severely tested them on a flood day. I weigh 150 pounds, and there was no buckle or slippage vaulting flooded creek sections.
Grips too small
I take a men's large or extra-large size glove. Was shocked to see how small the grips on these poles are and believe the small diameter will cause excessive hand fatigue. I also find the foam grip extension to be less grippy than some poles I have used and pretty short, but I could have lived with it. However, the grip diameter is a show-stopper and I will be returning these poles.
great poles
I purchased the model just below this first, which had rubber, rubbed grips. Those bothered my hands on longer hikes but these grips are much better. The poles are light, sturdy, and easy to extend and retract. May upgrade to cork grips next time but these work perfectly
Great affordable poles
Nice mid-priced poles, with foam grips, silicon carbide tips, and small snow baskets. You can buy rubber tips separately. The foam grips don't absorb sweat as well as cork, but are OK. The wrist straps are hard to adjust to get "just so," but I like to change the position of my hands in the loops anyway. The poles telescope easily and the locks are solid. Recommended!
Very good walking sticks
I frequently use these sticks for walking in rugged, often slippery terrain with numerous downed trees, debris, and constant tripping hazards like large and small vines and limbs. I haven't had a fall since I started using them.
Great trekking poles
I really like these can’t say anything bad about them. I haven’t had them for too long but took them for two overnight trips and they hold up great.
