Before these, La Sportiva TX2's were my go-to approach shoes. Since I started using Konseal LT's, I haven’t used the TX2's and that's saying something. TX2 is a hard act to follow. Konseal LT is a comfortable, super lightweight, minimalist, breathable, approach shoe that has a light feel and ultra-grip thanks to the Vibram Megagrip. I appreciate that the shoe was created with barefoot use in mind as the heel is collapsible and allows you to slip them on like slippers while you belay. Keep in mind that they do run about half a size small. I’m normally a 9, and had to get these in 8.5
After much deliberation I bought these shoes over a few other contenders. Upon first inspection they were too big for me. However, after getting a feel for them in person I have ordered a pair half a size down as I was impressed by the sturdiness of the shoe. The upper is flexible and very breathable and as expected, the sole is grippy and firm. I bought the shoes in blue, and must say the colour is lovely complementing the black counterparts on the sole and back of the shoe. I can’t provide a great review to be honest due to not being able to take them outside (currently on lockdown in the UK) but will update when I get my replacement pair in the near future.
I purchased my first pair about 7 months ago, and have used them for day hikes around the PNW. I have one foot that is bigger than the other and my first pair were 13's, which I normally wear. The toe cap separated on the shoe that goes on my smaller foot. I sized down to a 12 and will try these out. I give 4 stars because people with big feet deserve half sizes too! I feel a 12.5 would be perfect for my odd sized feet, but can't win 'em all. As far as trail performance, I have confidently scurried up rocks that I thought I would have more trouble with. I will probably continue to buy as long as they make them, these are great shoes for the walking/hiking I am doing.
I've had the shoes between 8-12 months now. I've used them extensively and have a few issues with them. I will list pros and cons. However I wouldn't buy another pair. Pros: Lightweight Comfortable Cons: Terrible durability Not very grippy on rock They are very comfortable and I do like the fit and feel. They are also nice and light. Unfortunately this comes at the trade of durability. Within a handful of wears I had a hole develop in the material. Throughout the life of the product this has no increased to 3 holes. All pretty large. I work in the Mountains and they're at the point where they're starting to look too "shabby". I would like to emphasise this hole developed within the first 5 uses. There is also discolouration on the shoe too. The shoes are red, however around the holes they have faded to an orange colour. More recently I have also noticed the rand is starting to come off of the shoe. It looks like the glue holding it on is deteriorating. In short, a comfortable approach shoe for light and occasional use. However if you want a durable and reliable shoe that you can rely on, I'd look elsewhere.

I've had these shoes for almost a year and have done a wide range of hikes/scrambles on them. My most recent hike was a mix of a coastal forest approach and alpine scramble. Pros: Lightweight/comfortable Very Breathable (I don't like gortex shoes) I like the campshoe feature Cons: Lacks durability Not great grip on the down (coastal BC forest) As others have stated definately buy a size down and you should be good. These a great shoes but as others said they are lacking in durability and mine have already started to develop holes in the toe box. I think with a little more reinforcement in some strategic areas these shoes could be dialed in. I would only recommend these shoes for light hikes/scrambles.
This is an excellent shoe. Veyr minimalist, lgihtweight and breathable. The ideal approach shoe in many ways. There is more cushion than usual beneath the forefoot for an approach shoe but this makes them much more comfortable on the descent. There is a little less control in the edging performance, but it's worth it for downhill comfort for me. However, these shoes are a full two sizes too large. My toe in a pair I purchased based on EU sizing ( I don't trust the subjective US or UK sizes) had my toe just barely passed the laces. I would recommend buying this a full size, if not two sizes larger. Sole length on my EU 40s was 273mm
Fix sizing chart Arcteryx or at list put up a warning. It cost you money for return shipping and restocking. Wastes your customer time and is simply annoying. Second pair. I'm size 11 US with regularl width. my first purchased pair was 10.5 and it fits loose. This one I purchased 10. fit is perfect. I mainly bought it to ride flat pedal bike so my experience might be different then everybody else. Pedal grip is amazing, reinforced toe box provides good protection, ventilation is superb and even after whole summer of walking and riding daily shoes still looks ok. 4 stars due to sizing issue and I'll buy again.
I bought these shoes ~1.5 months ago. I bought them to use on alpine approaches, cragging and canyoning in the PNW. They are light, comfortable, true to size and drop water quickly. Unfortunately, the materials haven't held up as well as I have hoped. After 4 weekend outings that included dusty trails, boulder hopping, cragging and canyoning, both sides of the shoes are beginning to wear through on the fabric and the rubber is starting to peal on the side (see attached image). As an approach shoe at this price I was hoping these would hold up much better and I doubt I'll get even a full 6 months out of them at this rate. I expect my trail runners or approach shoes to last at least a year. I haven't use a lot of Arc'Teryx products so I can't speak to other shoes but I'm not keen on spending top dollar on something that didn't last. If the rubber protection on the sides of the shoes went higher up and were a little bit more heavy duty it could help protect the fabric with a marginal sacrifice in weight. I can't recommend these if you're going to be doing anything beyond the trail.

I normally wear 12.0/46.0 shoes, and my feet are very average and generally without problems. The reviews on this model are correct that it runs large, but how large depends on your intended use: For casual and general use, size down 1/2 size, which is what I did (bought 11.5/46.0). If you really intend to use them for approaches and probably want them closer fitting, size down a full size. Since some reviews say these are narrow, I can clarify that they are not actually narrow, but are instead just not wide. I find the heel to be a little narrow but in a good way that prevents heel lift. Forefoot is normal width, but the fabric uppers are soft and flexible, and I think many will find them to stretch enough to be comfortable.
[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I bought these approach shoes about a month ago, and was quite impressed on how light they are. They are aloso a great shoe for warmer climates, due to the mesh-like construction they breathe well. Combined with the mega grip sole they are excellent for just about any approach, especially in hot dry climates. Another bonus of the Konseal LT is the heel collapses making it a great camp shoe.
