[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Great value for money and a very versatile shoe that I can wear running or playing sport. Highly recommend.
I don’t doubt this is a good show, it is not the shoe for me at all. Decided to try a new shoe and have been wearing them for two weeks. They have not been super comfortable perhaps too narrow. After a long run yesterday the outside of my left foot is killing me and could not get myself to go out today. I already ordered a new Adrenaline GTS (my usual) and will wait until they arrive. I’ve wore these for two weeks now and I have to pass them along to my mom I just cannot run with them anymore. I love Brooks, have been wearing them forever and will continue to do so but these are just not the right shoes for me. Going back to my regular Adrenaline GTS.
Have been a happy Ravenna owner since the 8 and was a little worried about the 11 after reading some negative reviews. After having run in them for the last month, I can say I am very happy with the changes in the new rendition of these awesome shoes. They feel slightly lighter and provide the same amount of spring while still providing cushion and support when needed. The new flat laces seem to have a more appropriate length for the shoe size and I no longer have to tuck the laces in to avoid them getting caught on a run. Overall, quality shoe as can be expected from the Ravenna with some minor improvements and continued support!
For the last 3 years, I had been running in Brooks Adrenalines and Addictions. However, I felt that I needed a shoe with a bit more spring in it. I was a bit nervous about switching shoes given my issues with flat feet and overpronation, but a few weeks into running in the Ravennas, I can report that I could not be happier. The shoes are responsive and lightweight, making runs, especially longer ones, enjoyable and refreshing, while simultaneously providing me enough support and cushion to feel comfortable on the road and prevent injury. I would highly recommend these shoes to any runner, especially those seeking a supportive run without giving up any speed.
I've worn Ravenna models for more years than I can remember. To be honest, in prior years I didn't notice much improvement from one model to the next. Ravenna Model 11 is a game changer! Model 11 fixes two items which have bothered me in the past: - Prior Ravenna models required tightening laces to the point where there was no gap on top. Two sides of shoes would almost touch on top. - Prior laces were tubular and way too long. I would have to braid laces into multi knots to eliminate loops which may cause tripping. Ravenna Model 11 finally sizes correctly for width of my foot. Laces are now flat style instead of tubular, which are much easier to handle!
I ordered the Ravenna 11s and received in July 2020. I am not a runner but appreciate the support these offer when walking regularly. Within a few weeks of walking (and no running) the material in the heel (around my Achilles) was already wearing. After a few months of light use there is essentially no padding left and I have to wear thick socks to use them. The lowers are great and as supportive as past Ravenna models I’ve owned (which were great) and I was glad to see this model design be a bit more stylish. That said, the uppers are made of poor materials which render the shoe useless after a few months of relatively light use. I can’t recommend this new model.
Been about 6-7 years since I last ran in the Ravenna. Seems like the 11 is a bit stiffer compared to older versions. I'll be using this as my everyday shoe. So far so good. It does feel appropriate for faster sessions. I recently did 10 miles with 60 second pick ups and as I picked up the pace the shoe responds well. Only concern so far is I did an indoor run on a treadmill. Shoe seems hot and I picked up a few blisters. I expect that will go away as the shoes breaks in. The durability of Brooks shoes has been phenomenal. My last everyday shoe was the Brooks Ghost 11. I'm at about 700 miles and still using it. I hope the Ravenna 11 has similar result.
Have run in several pairs of Ravennas and really liked the Ravenna 9's. Used for fast training and racing from 5k up to the half marathon. I had some reservations about the 11's new guiderail system and cushioning. I prefer stability shoes with medial posts and firm reliable cushioning. The 11's surprised me. Very similar to the 9's. The arch height is significantly higher in the 11's, which will take some time to adapt to. Sizing is spot on. Very secure in the heel and midfoot, with a nice tight racy feel. They perform as I've come to expect from this model. Stable, firm, fast, and light. Great job, Brooks!
I am comparing this to Ravenna 10. I put about 500 miles on Ravenna 10 and I have so far put about 80 miles on Ravenna 11. Definitely 11 feels lighter and less cushioned compared to 10, but at the same time it is causing more discomfort on the bottom of my foot and the fingers. This might be due to the fact that the shoes are still new and maybe have not fully hugged my foot. Also, the guiderails seem a bit more stiff compared to 10. For someone like me who has a low-arc foot, I totally recommend Ravenna. Since I have switched from Nike to Brooks Ravenna, I have had less issues and I do average 70-100 miles a month.
I have consistently bought the Ravennas for my go to training shoes for cross country sense the Ravenna 9. I absolutely love the way they feel and perform when you run. The support they give for how light they are is something I have found to be unique to these shoes. I have never experienced any issues with them braking of ripping until I have put a substantial amount of miles on them. I am currently on my 3ed pair of the 11 and 5th pair over all. My only request is that Brooks shows a bit more love to these fantastic shoes and offer more colors and patterns for people to choose from like they do with the ghosts.
