Handmade in Sweden, the Hults Bruk Bjork 30 in. Splitting axe is a larger axe intended for heavier duties such as splitting large logs as well as processing wood for use in a fireplace.

Worked great until...
Had it for little over a year. Used it a good amount. Good fit and finish. Handle was comfortable and over all a good splitter and a good partner to help bang in wedges. I give it a 1 because it really did work great until CRACK! Looking from the top of the head down at the 2 o'clock position, the head split top to bottom. Definitely a material/forging defect because the break is too perfect. unfortunate because it is a more high end splitter.
