Great SPD Pedals
I have over 6,000 miles on these pedals with absolutely no maintenance. These are great.
Working class price, race ready performance
Solid build, solid engagement, smooth spin, all as per expectation for spec level. Light enough, fair price.
Shimano Pedals, the Gokd Standard
I have been using Crank Brothers Eggbeater pedals for over 20 years because of their weight and mud shedding ability, but was getting very frustrated during winter riding on my fat bike. I couldn’t unclip from the pedals fast enough when the front tire would get sketchy resulting in countless spills. My friend told me to try Shimano SPD’s, he had the same 500 series pedals over 5 years and hadn’t done a single bit of maintenance and they were still working for him. I purchased a set of these XT’s and after a couple of adjustments to the tension and cleat position, they have been great! I’m sold on their durability, functionality, ability to eject at no moments notice, and the price is reasonable. I like them so much I bought a second pair for my fat bike. Can’t go wrong.
